Great location There is no sound isolation whatsoever. Our room was next to the staff room, therefore the noise coming from staff while they were cleaning the hotel started from 8 am. Was thus impossible to sleep. If you are very light sleeper, either ask for the room far from the cantine and staff room or choose another hotel for this price.

The location was fantastic. The room was clean and quiet. Staff were helpful and pleasant. No lift. The parking was in another hotel's car park - a 10 minute walk away, but there was a short term parking bay in front of the hotel where you could unload things. Wifi was intermittent, and very slow.

I had ever stayed at Bayard before at another room facing the Place Bellecour . It was in classic furnishing and with excellent view , but the room was too old . This time I stayed at a room in modern furnishing , it was so wonderful more than a 3-star hotel I expected . Location , staffs and cleanliness are all excellent . Will sure to stay again .

Location and reception Paid for a good room but was given a substandard room - only realized after my wife read upside down the max price for our room which was approx €30 less. Noisy and no air condition. Room was pokey and shower dribbled.

Very good location, near all the shops and restaurants, very central, near a lovely square Bellecour, the hotel had a very good private car park near the hotel, there was also a space for unloading the luggage before moving the car to the car park. Rooms were light and airy and a good size with ensuite facilities.

This is not a luxurious hotel. It is a good hotel,properly priced in perfect location,5 minutes walk from rue de marrioners,which is full of restaurents, and the bus for tour if the cityis outside the door and its 10 minutes walk to where you can get a boat trip.

Great central location, staff were friendly and spoke good English, above average breakfast for France, the room was lovely and the bed very comfy! We enjoyed our stay No air conditioning just a fairly ineffective fan found in the cupboard so the room was hot.

Room looked wonderful, was very clean and well designed! It had all what we needed: big bed, clean restroom, fan etc. Stuff on the reception was very helpful and nice. I don't know why, but when I booked the room they withdrew money for one night from my credit card, but in the hotel I had to pay the whole sum for my stay. I was told, that my money will come back in a few days, but they didn't yet. Hope, everything will be alright.

We had a very pretty room (deluxe no. 22) with a view on place Bellecour. Also very spacious. The location of the hotel is perfect. The windows were well isolated and we weren't bothered by the construction work going on on place Bellecour. There is no a/c but there was a fan in the closet. The staff were very helpful and on the second morning we ordered the breakfast to our room which was really nice. For French standards the breakfast was really good and it's worth to take it if you tend to get up later as it can be quite difficult to find a breakfast place after 10 am. There is no lift which I personally didn't mind but it can be difficult for others.

The staff was very kind and helpful. The breakfast was more than correct and the location of the hotel is ideal to discover the city of Lyon. The bathroom was very clean. There was a lamp cap with feathers above our bed which we removed cautiously since it was white of dust on the top. The building is rather old. A small refreshment of wome rooms might be welcome.
