Smoky, thin walls, water-stained walls, service, keys, dark hallways and stairs,

The location is perfect. Its a budget hotel dont expect any comfortable and pleasant stay. Just sleep over types....!!!

The room was not so bright. and the bathroom was cramped with no light inside (the bulb was not working). Reception lady could only speak in French, she even didnt understand Eiffel tower as I had to say, Tour Eifle for her to understand.

Only that the room was warm and the location was quiet.

Having stayed in various hotels in Paris and in Montmartre in particular over the years we thought we would give Hotel Bearnais a try, after reading a positive review- what a mistake! On arrival we were asked straightaway for full payment (never had that before)and were given the keys to our room on the third floor. Glad that we only had backpacks (as this was only a three night break): there was no lift and the spiral staircase was a challenge- 59 steps to floor 3. The room itself was kind of OK-beds seemed to be clean. The toilet was obviously designed for very thin people as when one sat on it knees were jammed against the door. Spare toilet rolls were wedged between the wall and the downpipe(which had flaking paint), with the result that all the rolls were flattened and covered in rusty paint flakes. The wardrobe was ok to hang clothes but as the bottom of it had broken and was on the floor on one side other storage was not an option. Obviously a lot of construction work had been going on in the back courtyard as this resembled a builder's yard. At least the night was quiet (apart from hearing next door blowing his nose and snoring). Next day -breakfast- this was proclaimed as available between 8 and 11 A.M. We came down at about 8.15- no one around and door to office and breakfast room locked. About 10 minutes later the lady came in from the street with coat and umbrella, and proceeded to dish out croissants and bread, without, as far as we could see, washing her hands: a pile of dirty washing resided in the corner of the room where the food had been prepared. On returning to our room that evening, we were quite surprised to find that beds had not been made- the first time that we had ever encountered this. The same went for days two and three. We decided that the preparation of breakfast at an early hour was not on the cards, so came down nearer 9 A.M. on subsequent days.

Close to the Sacre-Coeur. Close to the Anvers Metro station- easy acces to the rest of Paris. Nearby restaurants and a convenience store- Brilliant. The bed were comfortable, the room was warm, the shower was very good, bathroom was clean.

Breakfast was a bit expensive, cheaper to buy own at the convenience store.

Great location, really nice little rooms. Provides all what you need when the purpose of your trip is to see Paris and not just to stay in the hotel... :)

Near Metro Station . Helpful staff Perfect for overnight stopover as close to Metro Station Good breakfast choices. Excellent value for money. i stayed for two night and all what i needed in the room was there

not suitable for couples

The room was big.

I arrived at midnight, I called them and mail the, but the lady was sleeping and she was quite angry for my late came. The room smelled of humidity, one lady from the reception entered the room while I was locked inside.

Comfortable bed and a big fridge in the Room. Shower was good.

This is not hotel but hostel and practically all information re facility description was totally and obviously wrong. Will never stay in it within next trips.

It's general salubrious feel! But in a good way. Very budget- but clean, warm and in a fantastic location. Staff were great. No complaints.

Hotel Staff, cleaning and services was so fair doesn't has elevator and must go to third floor by poor circle escalator!!!

The hotel is pretty rundown and in need of significant maintenance. A lot of mold in bathroom. Window latch was broken and room was stuffy. Our room was on the third floor and housekeeping staff piled dirty linen on the narrow circular stairway making it both difficult and dangerous to navigate. TV remote did not work and front desk staff unable or unwilling to assist. Definitely would not recommend this hotel and we would not stay here on future trips.

Difficile de trouver a Paris un hotel qui pour 60 euros offre une salle de bain complete, la tv sat. , un ref,, le chauffage des le mois de septembre, et qui en plus est totalement silencieux la nuit

L' absence d'ascenceur, l'escalier a la limite du sordide, etl'acceil un peu froid

Very good location, no lift for 4-5 floor 1800 style stairs, room ok, clean and breakfast just ok.

Rapporto qualità/prezzo ottima. Posizione perfetta. Camera e bagno spaziosi. Room and bathroom suitable, perfect location and good quality with low cost.

Le cose più apprezzabili di quest'albergo (sebbene molto modesto nella struttura) è la pulizia, la magnifica zona in cui è inserito, ed il fatto che la metropolitana è a due passi.

Come ho detto, la struttura è modesta, ci sono cose come le porte, che si chiudono o troppo pesantemente o non si chiudono proprio, o la porta della doccia rotta... Inoltre, l'albergo si articola su 4 piani e non ha l'ascensore... Sinceramente, però, alla nostra famiglia queste cose non hanno pesato più di tanto!

Ottima la posizione e la vicinanza con la metro!

Staff poco competente

Molto spartano ma economico e abbastanza pulito - posizione comoda a pochi metri dalla metro

тесный номер на троих; очень неудобное расположение двери. каждый раз при входе и выходе требовались большие усилия;( соотношение цены и качества! это скорее хостел, чем отель.
