Right on the Promenade des Anglais, this hotel faces the Mediterranean Sea. It is a few steps from the Old Town and features a panoramic rooftop terrace and an outdoor swimming pool.
Score from 531 reviews Good
In central Nice, a 5-minute walk from the beach and the Old Town, the Hotel Aston La Scala features a roof-top terrace with an outdoor pool, bar and panoramic views.
Score from 589 reviews Very good
On the sea front, the Mercure Nice Promenade Des Anglais is in Nice next to the Promenade des Anglais and Casino Ruhl. The hotel is just under half a mile from Nice Old Town. Free Wi-Fi is available.
Score from 685 reviews Very good
B4 Nice Park is situated just 110 yards from the Promenade des Anglais and close to the old city of Nice. It overlooks the Mediterranean, offering views of the famous Baie des Anges.
Score from 213 reviews Good
Stained bed linnen after requesting change of linen the air con flooded requested another room. Received no good will gesture. Hotel shabby carpets stained tiles in bathroom dameage needs refurb.
The beach. Beach club/restaurant fantastic. Service/ staff etc all fantastic. Best meal we had while in nice
Hotel reception staff z bit useless. Also, hotel rooms now tired. Stayed here a couple of years ago & loved it so returned. Disappointed with stay, wouldn't return & wouldn't recommend .
Noisy room looking at the entrance of a night club; surprisingly "beach package" requires you pay the umbrella and the first row beach bed extra; unhelpful staff; full breakfast room.
Nearby all the attractions as well as a comfortable bed and a good night's sleep- provided your room is at the back.
Location is great
It has not seen any investment since I last stayed here 6 years ago, standards of service have slipped
Location was great. There is a short walk to cours saleya and massena and also promenade des anglais. Our room was enough and comfortable. Breakfast was good. I can easiliy recommend this hotel. Our stay was comfortable.
It's new enough. Nice design. Nice breakfasts
Too noisy rooms overlooking the road, not inner garden.
of course the location, which I believe the best in Nice. It is less than 1 minute to all main locations; the beach, old town and Av. Jean Medecin. The staff is so kind, warm and helpful.
Loud busy street. Room was not particularly clean and bathroom damp smell.
The location to shops and beach.the staff were extremely good all over the hotel .room was comfortable, clean, tidy with good air conditioning.a little noisey on Saturday night. Generally everything was satisfactory.
Loud band playing close to hotel Friday night .not good for sleeping
Clean sheets every day friendly staff at reception
Pillows were poor a little noisy at night outside
Facilities (No parking, very old rooms, extremely slow internet connection, even cell network unavailable in-room!) Overprices and over-rated! (not with more than 2 stars)
Hotel is located min away from the famous beach and old town. Hotel is easy to locate as well. Although it did not come with hotel parking but they are kind to help us make carpark reservation at the nearby underground parking (5 to ten min walk from Hotel)
The rooms were small and not of the spec expected for the price. There were some unfortunate 'smears' on the walls of our bedroom which were left by the previous I guests and never cleaned.
-A/C in the room worked very well. -Room was clean with a greta view -Staff was very courteous. -Breakfast buffet at 20 Euros/ person was worth it. -Located right in the middle of Nice's nightlife.
-WiFi did not work well. -Beach is actually across the street and not directly on the beach.
We liked the location, the room and outdoor terrace. All was jolly lovely. Somewhat disappointed that we were charged for additional coffee pods in the room ( there were 4 provided) although we were advised in advance. We would stay again but probably not use the Beau Rivage beach which was very busy with far few staff on duty to ensure good efficient service
Just around the corner was the promenade and just around the other corner was the Cours de saleya which led to the old town so this was an excellent location. We had asked for a quiet room with no smoking smells and we got both although the room was next to the lift, we only heard it occasionally and it did not bother us. The room was large enough and clean and the bed was very comfy. The air con was a godsend and was very easy to use.
Not enough hanging space in the wardrobe or chest of drawers. The shower was quite hard to use and I nearly scalded myself trying to operate the hot and cold taps. The breakfast was OK but the first morning the sausages were very overcooked and hard and the scrambled eggs were quite runny. I stuck to the croissants thereafter. If I stayed at the Beau Rivage again, which is possible, I would not book the breakfast.
Location, location, location. The old town at our doorstep, the "beach" just across the road. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this place to anyone visiting Nice.
Really can't think of anything!
location-proximal to the old town and beach Proximity to FREE beach areas, adjacent to the hotel's over-priced beach area.
pricey hotel being charged a ridiculous price to use the hotel's beach - should have been included poor ventilation - smelled like ammonia and the hotel's solution was to turn on an atomizer in the room, which was just as bad. Would not recommend this hotel as a result. I expected that the upgraded room with a patio would have included a bistro table/chairs, not lounge chairs that we didn't use given the proximity to the beach. Not worth the extra $$.
Terrific location, near everything. My room was quite large and comfortable, and opened up to a common area patio in back, which was nicy done. You get a discount at the front desk to rent a chair at the Beau Rivage beach, the hottest spot in town.
Position Room Decor
Not welcoming staff Not friendly and one female receptionist positively hostile
Buffet breakfast Rooms were small but modern-chic The "beach package" was great and convenient The wifi was excellent
No iron in the room. You had to call and see if one was available.
