We felt we were the felt open gay couple they had ever seen: first contact with alien species - but they warmed with time. Beware if you take a stroll in the evening, it's dark & some of the slopes are dangerously steep. WiFi is not so strong - weak signal due to mountains.
The location is remote, quiet & beautiful (no trains to hear rumble over the old viaduct). The restaurant is excellent, definitely worth a detour for dinner, even if you are not staying overnight. Despite excellent food standards in the kitchen, you may still take your dog to your table, also at breakfast which was also very good - we left ours in the car as she yelps at for food sometimes.
