The hotel is quiet, clean, friendly, small, and probably has the best location in all of Paris - right near Beaubourg. You can shop in the Marais or Les Halles, come back to the hotel to drop off your bags, and keep on going. The only complaint I have is that the petit dejeuner is too expensive - 9 euros for coffee and a croissant! If you don't read between the lines (all extras, including orange juice, cost upwards of 3 euros a shot), you could end up paying a small fortune for breakfast. |

Great location in the Marais (espicially for gay travellers). Nice atmosphere, does not feel like a chain hotel. Room 4 has a private patio! Find that elsewhere in Paris for this price! Nice size bathrooms. Eat at Cafe Vito! Only internet in the lobby. You can get it if you stay in room 1, however, since it is right off the lobby. The say that will be fixed "soon". I had the shower fixture break in the bathroom, and they said they could not fix it for two weeks, and got upset when I asked to change rooms! |

We were pleasantly surprised at how nice this hotel was. I've stayed in some real stinkers in Paris, and this was extremely clean with nice touches. The room was quite dark but more in a romantic lighting than dingy way. The bathroom was spotless and everything seemed brand new. I loved the fabric wall covering, and the old beams on the ceiling. Since it's on a side street it was very quiet. The location is of course excellent, near the main city tube stop, and on the (good) edge of the Marais. Reception was friendly and efficient. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that. For city centre prices it is great value and I would definitely recommend the hote. The hotel is not non-smoking, which was a shame because cigarette smoke from somewhere in the building was coming up through the vent in our bathroom (I think it was maybe from the kitchen because we also smelt cooking smells one morning) and was so strong it actually filled the whole bedroom. I could hear people when they walked in the room above but this wasn't very often (possibly when they had their shoes on when they first walked in) |

Rooms had obviously recently been refurbished and care had been taken to display original feaures such as wood beams. For a hotel in Paris the rooms overlooking the central courtyard were unbelievably quiet.Staff very polite and helpful. Complementary copies of the Guardian in reception. Mattress was extremely firm-hard. |

We found the location to be excellent for shopping, restaurants and access to metro. Cleanliness was good and the room we had was very quiet. We thought the hotel expensive for what it was, especially as no coffee or breakfast was included. Staff were rather terse. |

Wonderful location close to metro, RER B, walking to Notre Dame and Pompideau and the Marais area. Pleasant comfortable quiet room with cheerful upbeat decor. Very clean. Breakfast was expensive, did not take it. Staff turned out to be fine, but initial check-in person was not very friendly. Room was not ready although we arrived after 1pm. |

I had a room with a malfunctioning toilet. The water kept running after the flush. The staff kept telling me to switch off the water to the cistern, ignoring my point that with the water switched off the cistern could not fill and so the flush could not be used. I was not offered another room and the staff did not apologise. In fact they made it seem as if the problem was somehow my fault. The constant complaining and arguing spoilt my stay. I was not offered any kind of refund or compensation. I have stayed at the hotel in the past and liked it. I will not stay there again. |

Hotel was in a great location, very close to the metro. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The double room was very small. You could only fit a small suitcase in the room. Would recommend upgrading to the King room as these rooms were much bigger and worth the extra cost |

the hotel is very well located steps away from some of the major tourist spots and shopping. Also located very close to the gay Marais district the decor of the rooms was very chintzy and not to our taste and the lighting was very dim but the location more than makes up for it |

The convenience of the hotel to shopping and restaurants in the Marais district and to the metro making it easily accessible to all of Paris. There was nothing to dislike about the hotel - it was a lot better than some 3 star hotels we've been in. It would have been nice to have Wifi in our room, but at least we could access it for free in the lobby.. |
