Hotel was clean, comfortable, spacious rooms, abundant breakfast buffet, private parking, safe area clean, and breakfast facilities was excellent. Good hotel for the price ,very handy for visiting St Malo.Very friendly staff.

Excellent hotel ideal for overnight stop before using mourning ferry

we had a downstairs room with patio where we could sit out and enjoy the evening sun. We picked this hotel as it had private parking and we where able to park near our room.

Was not impressed with the massage shower a bit disappointing.Hard to find our sat nav went loopy and kept trying to send us back to Rennes which was 87 miles away.

The room was spacious and we liked the completely separate bathroom, good wardrobe space. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the staff were welcoming and pleasant. it was convenient for the ferry terminal.

The shower door and the toilet cistern were broken but we fixed the toilet ourselves and ignored the shower as we were only there overnight. Not having a night watchman made the hotel feel a little impersonal and potentially intimidating for the single traveller.

Convenient for St Malo, Clean and Friendly. Stayed there with family as we had an early morning ferry crossing to Portsmouth

The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The Proprieter even gave me and my girfriend a lift into town because the price of a taxi was rather expensive. We had B&B and the breakfast was excellent. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable.

Too far out and not sufficiently described in it's description. No facilities in the room at all, and ended up costing €369 for 2 nights!

Near to ferry port and easy to find Clean and tidy Staff very friendly helpful gave good advice about somewhere to eat evening meal and they where right the meal in ST malo was beautiful and good value for money information was on the reception desk.

Room very sparse basic no facility to make drink But it was what we needed just an overnight stay before we caught the ferry in the morning.

Good location as we wanted to stay for 1 night in St Malo before catching the ferry. Superb buffet breakfast.

We chose to stay at this hotel to break up our journey home from the South of France for one night whilst we waited for our ferry from St Malo to Portsmouth. We eventually found it located on a busy retail park where there was little in the immediate area to occupy our children. We arrived at about 3pm and were extremely disappointed that the bar area remained closed throughout our entire stay and we were informed on arrival that they no longer serve evening meals. The room itself was not very clean. It was extremely depressing and very basic even though it was a family room. The beds were uncomfortable with only one small pillow each and there was no Tea/Coffee making facilities so we had to wait until breakfast to get a warm drink. As I opened the door of the wardrobe it fell off which could have been dangerous to our 3 year old child. The toilet was unclean and the bathroom had seen better days. Breakfast was OK but in the context of our previous evenings experience this was scant reward. Finally, as we left we were overcharged for our stay! I would advise very strongly against anyone travelling with young children to stay at this Hotel.

I was very disappointed with the Belem, it looked very romantic online so I really looking forward to a touch of luxury and it wasn't much better than a dive. It was in the middle of nowhere, a taxi into the town of St Malo or the much prettier Port St Vincent would have cost a fortune so we had to get back into the car we had just spent 3hrs in beforehand to go down the street to get something to eat as there wasn't a restaurant. The bar only stayed open until 10pm and had a very limited choice of drinks at high prices.

There is nowhere to eat within walking distance.

Easy to find and access other local areas, fine for a 1 or 2 night stop over but insufficient comfort, facilities for any longer.

On our first day on arrivial we had 3 rounds of drinks, which we paid for in cash. We then called into the bar that evening for a round of drinks before going out to a local restaurant, we paid cash for this round of drinks and asked the receptionist/bar attendant to order us a taxi for 7, which she kindly did but was told the taxi would be 15-20 mins, we therefore had another round of drinks, but the taxi arrived at about the same time as the drinks we agreed to pay the next day for this round. Recemptionist/bar attendant different next day, we had another round of drinks and then went to pay, she inisisted we had not paid for the 1st round the evening before and we eventually gave up and paid for this round again ie about another 27 euros, My brother later attempted to sort this out without success, would therefore not go back since the drinks were expensive in the 1st place and even more so since 1 round of 7 drinks ended up costing about 54 Euros. The staff are too busy and are expected to do too much. At the time the young lady was trying to book people in, run the reception and bar. The bar was poorly stocked up as well.

Offensive or abusive rules in the room like not to drink or not to eat in the rooms. Hell yaa. The famous advertised massage shower it was not working. Also it was veey old. On the whole the room was old and with an unpleasent smell. Bad value for the money and far away from city center 7 km.

We liked the location, in a quiet courtyard off country lane albeit a car is necessary to visit St Malo. We were driving so not a problem for us to get out and about. Glad of a small balcony, better that none at all. Room very good size.

Other comments are correct in stating that there is no hospitality tray. The reason may be because the hotel has a bar so they may wish to sell tea and coffee via this facility. However in our case we only did this once when arriving back from a day out and found two cups of tea very expensive at 3 euro a cup. At 7 euro a time it would prove expensive on an already basic hotel which charges too much for a room without this facility. Therefore on principle we did not use the bar so it was non cost effective for the hotel anyway. We also agree with the comments about the plastic undersheet. it was a double bed and we are adults. All the other hotels we stopped at on our journey through France used ordinary mattess protectors. The plastic sheet served to make the sheet slip around and bunch up which made it very uncomfortable. Also the day later after the maid had been in to make the beds we found the bottom sheet was all crumpled and had not been straightened, she had simply put the covers back on the top. The power shower would have been good if it did not overflow the shower tray and onto the floor, the jets could also have done with a good clean. As per the other reviews there was no English tv. This would have been good for us as after a long day we wished to relax in the evenings. The room decor was bright which was important as it was a quite dark room but bright yellow / orange a bit too much. The buffet breakfast was slightly better than we had at the previous 3 French hotels but still overpriced at 8.50 euro a head. We had previously paid around 4.50 so I don't think for the addition of cold boiled eggs worthy of the difference. We decided not to pay for this on the 2nd morning, instead had breakfast on the ferry to Portsmouth where we had a full cooked breakfast with 2 eggs, bacon, sausage, tomatoes, beans and hash browns for only 5 euro.

Ontvangst was vriendelijk. Ontbijt zeer verzorgd.

Douche werkte eerst niet. Inrichting vrij ouderwets. Mijns inziens slechts twee sterren ipv drie. Vandaar ook te duur vinden wij.
