Location was perfect
Staff was absent at the reception most of the time
We enjoyed our 3 days stay in Hotel Belvedere, a beautiful geographic location close to the Calvi historical centrum, a classical style building, our room and a friendly, pleasant staff. We can recommend this hotel as a great value for money for the most medium class tourists...
Sometimes was noisy at evening at the near located caffe, but not too much and this not disturbed our night rest...
Location, location, location. Views. Free parking outside (in autumn). Helpful staff.
Comfortable bed, clean room, excellent location.
A bit noisy if you sleep with the window open. Passing traffic in the early hours of the morning and it sounded as if a bottle bank nearby was being emptied at 4.30am.
The location could not be better. The two young women at reception were helpful and friendly, but did not speak English. Not a problem...we managed. Room was small, breakfast room has good view of Citadel.
The bathroom and shower were very small and we had to step up into it from the room. Even though there is an elevator, guests must climb a set of stars to get to the reception.
good size of room great location close to the harbor and citadel ok wifi nice and quiet considering the locations
limited parking reception didnt speak english as claimed expensive breakfast
The location was brilliant.....right in the heart of the town
The price of the breakfast.
no free WIFI
Cleaning staff helpful
Reception staff not helpful
Room looked newly renovated. Really liked the view of the sea and proximity to restaurants.
No fault of the hotel, but tour buses idle pretty close to it which is noisy if you want the window open. Recent renovations in the room were nice but seemed unfinished (ie. shelves in the shower area).
Location, price, and cleanliness were good. All in all it was a good hotel to stay at.
Seems pointless to have a television that doesn't work. Toilet door was flimsy and left large gaps open. The hotel receptionist wanted payment upon arrival (and not upon departure as customary) but said she 'preferred' we did not pay by credit card. Instead of accepting payment by credit card as advertised on the website, we were asked to go find an ATM. We perceived this as a little impertinent.
The room and bathroom were both TINY, my friend and I are both under 5'5 and we were a little cramped trying to use the bathroom. Reception is only about 7:30 am to 8:30 pm, and if there is no one at reception, there is no way to pay for the wifi. Also when I tried to pay with my credit card, the woman at the desk made me walk down the street to take cash out of an ATM to pay instead. Later when we asked for a dinner recommendation, the woman at the desk was on the phone, and instead of putting her caller on hold, or asking us to hold on a moment while she finished her call, she tilted the receiver and just stared at us until we said what we wanted. It was fine for one night for 2 poor young women, but I would have been pretty unhappy staying there longer than that.
Location! Great view of the citadel and easy walking distance to everything in town. Plenty of free parking in winter (may be more of an issue in summer). It was nice to be upgraded on arrival and allowed to check in early.
Paying for internet.
Location is great with great views of sea and mounains and the old citadel.
Bed was a bit hard, just very thin mattress I think.
