It was like staying at your great grandmothers house. Antique(ish) furniture, old building. It was a good enough place for an overnight stop. Nothing great..nothing too bad. Typical French breakfast. Staff was very nice.
The beds were uncomfortable. Blow dryer in bathroom was super weak..didn't really dry my hair.
Welcomed at the door on arrival, soft and comfortable rooms, generous and varied brekky,. We stayed here for Christmas and even received gifts!!. Hard working owners that take pride in their business.
Just a really nice friendly little hotel. Second time we have stayed there.
Very nice location and kind staff
Great location and value for money
Jean-Luc and Philippe were very friendly and excellent hosts. The hotel is very charming and clean. The location could not have been better. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and much better than expected.
Coffee service in the room would have been a nice touch.
Hosts were extremely friendly and helpful.
Friendly staff, all ok for decent price
Turckenheim is a lovely town, not too far from Colmar but without the crowds - do see the nightwatchman at 10pm and join his round! Friendly owners and excellent central street location
Because entry was through the back entrance after arrival, I never saw anyone else during my stay - but I guess that was my fault for not having breakfast! I felt the price of breakfast was a little expensive so used the boulangerie opposite instead.
I loved the location which was walking distance to everything in this little village. The staff speak little English but enough to communicate effectively. It's funky and old-fashioned and slightly shabby but not in a gross way. It is very clean and I would recommend it for people looking for a hotel in a charming village for a reasonable price.
We had two rooms and the room my son stayed in had a bed that was extremely hard. Firm is good, hard as a rock, bad. Though I will say that the other room that my husband and I had was fine. The bathroom was clean and we did not have any problem with the shower.
The location is perfect. From there, one can easily travel to other parts of alsace by car. (BTW, travelling in alsace by car, instead of train, is the most convenient.) Because the price is very reasonable, the value for money is high. (We lived in a room with a double bed, and the price was only 60 Euros per night.) In addition, with such a price, they provide daily room services, such as changing the bed sheets, cleaning the room, providing new towels! This really surprised me a lot when I got there! (As a matter of fact, we took our own towels with us :) because we didn't expect that the hotel provided new towels each day.) The hotel is very clean! In the past I have travelled intensively in different countries. With this price, this hotel is the cleanest that I have stayed. The two staff that we met were very friendly though they don't speak English. (It is not uncommon that staff working in hotels in France don't speak English. This is the country :))
The only negative part of the hotel is from the showering facility. The shower head cannot be hanged (because there is no holder on the wall). In addition, there is no curtains or similar around the bath tub. When you take a shower, the water will spread all over on the nearby floor, which leads to a slippy floor.
very comfortable, large room, were before the new year, the house is beautifully decorated
