Location of the hotel was excellent. Staff friendly and helpfully. Room was cleaned every day. Value for money.

Room and balcony were a bit to small.

The owner was really friendly and prepared. Upon checkin he gave us a map and drew out the attractions near by. None of the other hotels did that. The room was clean, internet was fast. Location is a 3 min walk from the railway station and 7 min walk to the monorail that takes you down to the beach (or you could walk to the beach in about 15mins)

I really disappointed with this hotel! When I arrived at the hotel around afternoon but there is no people at the reception desk anymore and I need to try to call them and they gave me the hotel code to get in to hotel and need to took the key and find the room by myself and I have not seen any people at the reception desk until the date I checked out! The receptionist was not so nice he was not allow me to use the toilet at the lobby. The room was not good as I think and not worth for money, the toilet paper in the room was not refilled I got just the toilet paper roll which was almost used up and there was no people at the reception desk so in case you have any problem during the time stay no one is available to help you. The guy who work at the recption desk just appear only morning and he leaves very early. The wall is so thin and I could here people talk all night and even the time that they walked you can hear the sound very clear so it was very annoyed ! If you want very good rest I would not suggest you.The hotel is so small and not really comfortable and the balcony in the room is very small also, I think it is not a real balcony and you cannot see any nice view from the balcony except the ugly buliding. In the night time there was a weird sound from outside the street wish was quite scary!

Very cheap for the pricing and close to the station

The furnishings were in a very bad state, the cleaners were very noisy and the walks are very thin, I also complained because the towels had a strange smell similar to urine. As the hotel is close to the roads there is a lot of noise in the day/night, worst tv I've seen in a hotel room with only 4 channels and a very stiff bed, overall you get what you paid for, not much

The location to both the train station and the main tourist areas in Nice. We also found the hotel good value for money, given that it was listed as a 2 star establishment.

No lift

We have recently returned from touring Europe for 5 weeks and consequently stayed in many hotels - all good, except for Hotel Berlioz, which was very poor indeed. Our room was at the back of the Reception area, on the ground floor; the only window opening onto a wall on which there were 3 air-conditioning units. Although we arrived at 4pm there was no one on duty until 7.30am the following morning. We needed a code to enter the building. The room was airless and stifling. There was no remote control for the air-conditioning unit. I phoned the manager/owner to report this, and was told that the nights were cold, but if we wanted to use the air-conditioning he would bring the remote the following morning. We needed to sleep with our room door open, and we all more or less lost a night's sleep. The remote control was given to us the following morning (somewhat reluctantly). I would under no circumstances stay at this Hotel again.

Location was good Free WiFi

Value for money, it really just a small small room with bed in the middle, window that looks on another building, very noisy street and hotel, small bathroom with smelly towels and no place to open your suitcase. If its a half price it would be perfect, and if you are staying just for day or two.

Nearby the railwaystation;English spoken; feeling very welcome (like coming home..)

Ok Hotel in the center of Nice. The staff was friendly and service minded. Approximally 700 meter to beach and main street, No problem to walk.

An excellent hotel that was very welcoming and very clean, great value for money in Nice and I would stay again.

It didn`t have elevator... The hotel only have two floors but with a heavy bag it is not so ok

Close to Nice Ville station, small so only a few rooms in the hotel. Coded front door so security was good.

There were no laundry facility. The room had a bad smell when you first walk in. And the shower head could not hang up.

I liked the location- close to the train station for going to Monaco, Cannes, even to the mountains (the drive to Tende is exciting), it is close also to the shopping street Av. Jean Medicin and movie theaters. Management of the hotel is very friendly, helping (light bulb was exchanged immediately).

I wish I could have a chair and a table to eat at, but the room had a TV and was clean, towels are being changed every day.

We were moved from one room to another on the second day. The room was on the top floor, and wifi didn't work there. Also this new room lacked fridge. Given the length of stay (3 days), I would expect to have a single room during it. The towels were smelly. They looked ok, but if they were wet, they smelled terrible, and this made me want to change the hotel right away. Hotel is quite far from all attractions and restaurants of Nice.

It is really close to the trains station.

First of all the room was not the one described at our booking form (ground floor instead of balcony). Secondly there was noone in the reception when we arrived at the afternoon and until the next morning. The are is the worst in Nice with high rate of criminality and finally our towels were not clean at all.

Extremely small room; Relatively close to the beach, bit more far from the city center; NO ONE on the reception after 5pm, can't find anyone if something goes wrong, only a phone contact (experienced this for the first time, maybe it's common in some cities/hotels). No parking facilities, better choose some other hotel for 20 to 25 EURO more per day, which has a parking.

The stuff is very friendly and helpful. The location is very good and easy to find. It is a small family run hotel and room is very clean!

Nothing to complain!

People is very nice, it is really near the train station, Nice is not very big, so from the hotel you can just go to the beach by work about 15mins, and you can through the big shopping street on your way to the sea. and the hotel room is very tidy and clear, if you just want a clear room for take good rest but not very expensive, i think this one can be a really good choice.
