The hotel Bersolys was a great little hotel in a wonderful location! It's a 5-10 minute walk to a metro station, a couple blocks from the Louvre and plenty of restaurants and a little grocery store right down the street. We had a 2 room family suite that we could open up to be with the kids or close off for privacy. The staff was absolutely wonderful and would definitely stay there again!
Everything. We have no complaints whatsoever. The service was great and every comfort we needed was there.
The gentleman from Germany who was at the front desk during the day was extremely helpful in what ever situation we requested. The room we had was perfect for my daughter and I. This was our second time at this hotel since I have been coming(8times) to paris. I love the dog Obey, little old but great.
The metro a little far.
fabulous staff and lovely stay, hope to return!
Male attendants were very good
Tiny room and upstairs to your bathroom. One metal chair and no bureaus or desk
The room we had is very crowd and filthy. A huge beam in the room often knocks ur head since it's very low. Kid had rashes on his face and body, it might caused by dirty bed linens. The front desk lady who's maybe the boss of the hotel u can tell from her rude talking and shouting to staff. She's very rude and greedy to guests. We didn't have any breakfast, but she charged fee on our family and threatened us if we don't pay she'll cancel our taxi when we were in a rush to catch a train. If i wasn't in a rush, i would call a police to sort it out.... It's not my first time travel in Paris. But this time is the worst experience ever. It almost ruined our trip. It's pity that Paris has the greatest museum, but worst human ruined its reputation. I recommend international brand hotel like IBIS or others to stay would be better choice. At least it has standard service. We confuse how this filthy small place is hanging a three stars sign....
Location is excellent Louvre is 5 min, museum d'Orse 3 min, Norte Dame 10 min... Hotel is very small 15 rooms, 5 floor, breakfast in the basement is very light). Staff is nice!
Room is ok, while bathroom towels were not clean at all. Aeroport shuttle is not free, 36 euro to CDG, book in advance needed! Elevator is for 1 person and 1 suitcase
Location is perfect
No serious complaints
When I arrived the woman who I think was a house maid, and spoke no english showed me my room which was internal and the window looked at an internal space i. e walls, I would not have accepted my room if she spoke english. The hotel was not 3 star and I saw many hotels in the same area with their tarrifs posted which were the same price and looked much superior I had one breakfast which was dreadful- 8 euro for a croissant and bread with jam and cold coffee.I would definitely not stay there again. Lounge and bar was a tiny area in front of reception-not an area where I would sit an have a drink.
The hotel is extremely well located and put's you at the heart of Paris.
The rooms are small, bathrooms could be updated, staff was friendly but not fully trained by mgt.
Front madam is speak too Mach. No respect for gest.
Staff was very helpful and friendly. Location was walking distance from major sights, metro, cafes, and Seine. We had the suite with 2 adjacent rooms. 2nd room had 3 beds which worked out well for 3 kids. Facilities were clean and daily cleaning service was good. Beds were comfortable.
Bedrooms and bathrooms were very small. Half-partition instead of shower curtain made things wet. No A/C, so had to open windows which meant lot of street noise. Wi-Fi worked but was unstable and had to re-login constantly; it was out one evening.
The hotel was in an excellent location, close walking distance to great attractions. The "family room" was two connected full rooms with two bathrooms, and had a common entry door we closed and locked to keep our rooms open together. Finding family accommodations in Paris was difficult, and this was perfect. I will definitely stay here again someday. Like everything Paris, the rooms were a tight fit, but the "kid room" easily fit three boys, ages 10, 7 and 5, in separate little beds. Not much extra space though! The hotel manager, Sylvia, helped us each day confirm reservations in French, gave us directions, made attraction recommendations, snack places for kids, etc. The friendly hotel staff seemed to care a lot about its appearance, reputation and cleanliness. I've always heard that Paris is not too 'kid friendly', but Sylvia and everyone at this hotel are. We felt very welcome and comfortable there. I read a lot of reviews about the staircase being a problem, but it really wasn't - they do have a tiny elevator good for luggage - and the staircase isn't that small. Our flight was delayed, which caused us to miss the connection into Paris and we arrived very very late. I was afraid they had given up on us, but they received my email updates and were waiting for us at midnight - the only good part about that travel day!
The nearest shops were expensive boutiques, not affordable. I wish I could have done more shopping without having to take the metro. Not a big deal though.
I love the location and the hotel still has some soul
I felt the rooms were too small, the facilties outside the bedrooms were poor and the staff seemed to be slightly disinterested
This is a clean hotel with a nice location with reasonable sized rooms. Paris is not known for having all of these features at the same place. There are two things keeping it from excellent. The price and getting charged for a breakfast we didn't have. They did fix the charge however but weren't too happy about it. All in all, it was an enjoyable stay and I would stay here again.
I love this hotel. It's quiet, old, quirky, and fun. Our room was on the top floor. Staff was friendly and helpful. For Paris, price was good, and due to the excellent location, a good value. We only used public transportation to get to Paris and leave. Walking to the Louvre took 10 minutes. Best for a romantic couple or solo traveler. Our room had an extension cord and power converter for our chargers! Wifi was good when it worked. If I ever return to Paris, I will try to stay here!
No real view. Room was extremely small and not very modern. Not very clean (dust under beds, mildew on shower curtain). Lift is super small and does not go to top floor where we stayed (we did not mind, we took the steps anyway). Wifi was out for about 1/2 a day, but they worked quickly to resolve the issue.
Small but charming hotel within walking distance of some of the major attractions
Not as close to the Metro as I would have liked (about 15 minute walk)
The atmosphere of the room, lovely decoration with a soul
Outstanding location central to everything. Good staff.
No real common space where you could sit and not be in your room.
Central location and historical building
maybe a bit pricey for a very small cramped room. Good room but small. perhaps paying for the location.
Location is not bad, but it is far from the public transports.
Unfortunately we did not get the three months before the arrival booked and in email confirmed family room. 5-person family with small children has been accommodated in separated rooms. The hotel's employee directed to the manager who was not there during the long weekend. Three days later, the manager unfriendly explained that the family room in this hotel represent two separate rooms which stay on the same floor. Well, we think not.
Nice and warm place. Near to lot of attractions. Very well located.
Pretty small, but....
Great location, lots of charm.
Expensive for a tiny room but it's Paris so not unexpected
Very nice and quiet location 5 minute walking distance from the Louvre and the river. We were able to walk to the hop on hop off boat. Our car was very safe the entire time. The hotel was quiet and clean. The hotel staff were extremely nice and helpful. We had a wonderful experience.
