Best Hotel St Lô

Very helpful and polite staff, with good level of English. Breakfast was definitely worth the 8 euros (good variety of products, always fresh). Breakfast hours were flexible. Large parking space. Restaurants right next to the hotel. Perfectly clean room, equipped with a fridge. Room looked recently renovated. Very quiet environment. No noise at all in the night neither from inside nor outside the hotel. Reasonable price, considering the high demand for the specific extended weekend we spend there. Location very good to explore Lower Normandy. In general, if you want a clean and quiet hotel with a high level of basic services, to use as a base for Normandy exploration, it is a great choice.

Rooms can not be described as small, but could me a little more spacious. Location can be a problem for guests that do not have a car, or prefer to stay within a city. Basic services. Don't expect luxuries, or plan to spend all your time in the hotel and have variety of options to entertain yourself there.

Breakfast was good but a little bit priced. Room for breakfast should be more attractive and decorated. Example: some flowers of the season and pictures of the Normandie area.

We stayed in two rooms. One of the rooms had the sink and bath tub clogged. Thank you.

Couple at reception very friendly & helpful and showed us to our rooms. Rooms were fine with comfy bed and excellent shower. There was an Italian restaurant on doorstep that provided excellent food & service at a very reasonable price. Would use both again if back in the area.

A very warm welcome and helpful Receptionist. Breakfast very good - there were even scrambled eggs and sausages, a lovely surprise! Easy to locate and on the quieter edge of St Lo (and well soundproofed rooms), good parking space, and there is a choice of restaurants easily in walking distance. We would definitely come here again

Size of rooms and beds: comfort of beds: conveniently close to N174: ideal for getting to Cherbourg the following morning. receptionist was pleasant and helpful: breakfast offered a good deal of choice

We stayed 3 nights at the Best Hotel St Lo. There was 7 of us in total all over for a long weekend riding our motorbikes around the Normandy area. The hotel is centrally located in Normandy which was ideal for us. The hotel is situated on the outskirts of St Lo, about a 30 min walk into the town centre but the staff were so helpful they arranged a taxi for us in the evening to save us walking. I would highly recommend this hotel and it's location to anyone travelling on a budget to the Normandy area. If I find myself back in Normandy I would definitely stay here again.

The new rooms are stylish with excellent bathrooms. The staff are very friendly and speak perfect English. It is about 1 hour from Caen for the ferry. Secure parking. Good restaurants within a 3 minute walk.

No kettle in the room.

Modern very functional - the new extension rooms are very good but I guess we were unlucky and the air con didn't seem to work. Too late in the evening to change room.

The air con/cooling in the room did not seem to work.

Excellent service. Staff (one lady) gave excellent help and it was easy to find.

Location was perfect for our overnight stay after our ferry from Portsmouth to Cherbourg. It was easy to find using directions supplied by the hotel web site. It was about an hour and a half from Cherbourg Ferry Terminal. It is very quiet, the bed was comfortable, great rain shower in the wet room. Everything was fresh and clean. Free WiFi. There is a small bar area and a small decked area outside. No restaurant within the hotel but there is a very good Restaurant next door in which we ate. Important as we didn't arrive until after eight in the evening. I think it was open until quite late. There were other restaurants nearby but the "Toscana" was a great family restaurant with delicious food. Hotel offered breakfast which we didn't have as we ate so much previous evening! You won't be disappointed if you choose this hotel on your travels. Enjoy!

There was nothing that I did not like. This is not a hotel with lovely views but it is otherwise perfect for an overnight stay.

We stayed in the new wing in a superior family room. It was spacious, clean and comfortable. We were using it as an overnight stop before catching a ferry from Cherbourg the next morning, and it was a great location being right next to the motorway (although not noisy), and there were plenty of options for dinner walking distance from the hotel. Will definitely keep it in mind for future trips.

Only downside was that the wifi was a bit difficult to connect to.

Very good hotel rooms clean and large staff helpful and friendly close to Normandy beaches breakfast worth while restaurant next door 2 minutes walking good and affordable even for families will certainly recommended and I would stay there again

Tea and coffee making faculties in the room would've been a good idea but apart from that a very functional hotel
