If you need somewhere to stay close by to gare de lyon, this hotel location is excellent.
Staff wasn't friendly. Bathroom smelly and very small room (that's normal for paris I guess)!!!
Free wifi Great breakfast Great location
Nothing of note.
Staff are generally unfriendly and not making an effort to make you feel welcome. We had a family room which was Very Basic! The room was not cleaned until 17h30. Very poor service. To be honest all you get is an okay room and nothing else. You get what you pay for I suppose.
Location good for traveling from Gard de Lyon. Quiet neighboorhood and Close to several restaurants and Metro.
Location, room and facilities
Close location to Gare Lyon, i.e. walking distance with luggage Reasonable location for Paris Good eating places nearby Room was OK for one night if you want to be close to Gare de Lyon would not recommend for longer stay
Noisy hotel at night lots of doors being opened until late into night Minimal facilities in hotel, no bar, this is not three star hotel, maybe one. Very basic slow wifi, of you want better you have to pay. Room was functional but run down Hotel generally tired AC was working but very noisy and not well located right above bed
Likeed location close to Gare du Nord and Austerlitz which was where we were heading.
Very poor shower which flooded floor. Curtain was not sufficient to keep water in.
Location near major rail and metro links as well as many nearby eating places.
Outside noise from road works. Air conditioning not working but fan supplied instead
Clean comfortable city hotel
Hopeless Wi Fi
Please read the below email to understand the issue we faced by staying at this hotel. You will be shocked. Each detail is not fabricated and was on surveillance footage filmed by the hotel To Whom It May Concern, Hotel Aurora / Best Western – Paris CC: Tess Riot (Hotel Manager, Claim discussed on Thursday 17th July) On the evening of Wednesday 16th of July, my girlfriend and I had returned to the hotel at approximately 2am. My partner and I had caught a taxi from the Eiffel Tower and after the taxi departed, were confronted by a man who was yelling and looked as though he was intoxicated just as we were approaching the entrance of the hotel. We ignored and ventured inside the inner part of the hotel lobby. Not exactly the hotel foyer but an entrance that is approximately 2x2 metres in size. I proceeded to open the door to find it was locked with no one sitting at the front desk. I rang the doorbell continually waiting with no answer. After about ten minutes, panic started to set in and I began to second-guess myself doubting the hotel’s 24/7 return policy and called Australia to speak with my parents to discuss the situation. My mother (Lorna Antoniadis) called the hotels number (multiple times) from which we could hear from behind the desk - obviously no one was there to answer. We were very fearful of what we were going to do and I manually closed the sliding door separating us from the street. A couple of people walked past and one character walked past four times peering from across the road to see what was happening – this made myself and my girlfriend feel extremely distressed and worried for our safety and well being as this is the first time we have been to Paris. After back and forth calls with home and fear getting worse as we had no solution of what to do, after over ONE HOUR of waiting, the employee with dreadlocks (unsure of his name) looked confused and dis-orientated as why we were inside the sliding door.
Close to Gare de Lyon. English-speaking staff. Convenient breakfast. Clean.
The bed was quite hard and lumpy.
Staff were efficient and friendly. Good value.
Breakfast was very good but expensive. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location very good if using Gare de Lyon.
Room air conditioning was not working. They put us in other rooms which was nice but had to spend one night without it.
Located near to Gare de Lyon (only 05 mins walking)
Room is too small, no space to move in the room (even the toilet smells strange). The lift is very slow and can only carry up to 02 persons (with 02 baggage) at a time.
Make shift bed , bathroom door did not lock, not very clean in room as it seemed to be set up in the basement.
Pillows, noises, no air condition
Basic clean city hotel.
Tiny bathroom, hardly space to turn around. Free Wi Fi was so slow it was of no use to me.
Excellent Location. Very close to Gare de Lyon. The guy who helped us check-in was very nice and polite and offered us drinks while we waited for our room to be ready. Generally quite clean. Our room was on the ground floor. We could use the lobby lounge and toilets conveniently. It made our stay more comfortable as the room is too small. The toilets there are better than the one in the room. There are vending machines in the lobby selling bottled or canned drinks at a good price.
The air conditioning was not working. Luckily it was not needed for the weather in June. The family room was a bit too small for 4 people to be in it at the same time. Therefore, some of us often sit in the lobby lounge in the evening. Some of the staff could be nicer and more helpful in providing information.
Close to gare de lyon .
Convenient for Gare de Lyon. Decent breakfast. Having work done when we arrived so offered room in sister hotel, Alexandrie, a couple of streets away.
Room was rather small but comfortable. Not actually opposite station as advertised but only a couple of minutes walk. Traversierre is a small road connecting Bvd Diderot (outside station) with Rue de Lyon (leads away from station). To reach hotel, leave station, turn left then 1st right.
I liked the location as it was near the train station and not far to walk.
Language barrier. The hotel seemed to be on a slant. Small rooms. No fridge, and to top it all off, I went to breakfast in the morning and returned to my room but had got off on the wrong floor. The surprising thing is that my card opened the other room which was occupied by others!!!!
Noise from underground railway; noise from street level early morning commuters.
Near train station
I booked a non-smoking room, and had smoking room. Room was not clean, and stunk terribly. Front desk was not accommodating.
No mini fridge AC not working
