Best Western Bordeaux Aeroport    

Close proximity to airport. With an early flight, this was especially important & my main reason for booking your hotel. Staff was friendly & helpful.

The morning of my departure, I left the hotel around 4 am, taking the staff's recommended route to a free shuttlebus from the hotel to the airport. This turned out to be a terrible ordeal. It was very dark with no lighting along the way. It was necessary for me to pull my bags through an area that was dug up, full of rocks, gravel & mud over several hillocks made more difficult as it was impossible for me to see where I was stepping due to lack of lighting. The wheels of my suitcase began to block up with mud making it even more difficult to pull along. In desperation, I took my small bag off the top of the large bag & carried it separately, not an easy task for a 4ft. 9Inch, 73 year-old woman. My shoes were soaking wet from stepping in mud puddles. There were times when I doubted I would make it. As I neared the bus kiosk, a white van came & parked at the bus stop & thinking it was the bus, I hoped they could see me in their headlights & wouldn't leave without me. But uponm closer examination I could see it wasn't the bus and as I stood in the kiosk, it continued to stay parked four about 5 minutes. I was beginning to be very worried &scared & I was beginning to wonder if I would live through this terrible adventure. Much to my relief, the van finally pulled away. But now I'm feeling very vulnerable standing out alone in this deserted area. My ten minute wait felt like an eternity. How happy & relieved I was when the bus finally arrived. I think the employees of your hotel had no business sending an elderly lady on such a trek alone & I feel it borders almost on the criminal that they did so. Oh how I was wishing I had taken a taxi!

Fairly basic but clean and tidy.

The hotel was very close to the airport and easy to find. There is secure, gated car parking. The building appears to have been recently renovated and was clean and modern. Our room had a very large bed and good quality linen. It was a good choice for an early-morning flight at Bordeaux airport.

Almost everything. Location for airport, cleanliness, staff assistance, condition of room, breakfast. Highly recommend to any through visitor, families, business. Nice pool for the summer months

Booked disabled room. Not forthcoming, however room was sufficient. Evidentially Booking.Com had not informed the hotel although it was on my confirmation. Never mind, hotel condition made up for it.

Room was clean and thoughtfully arranged with the limited space. staff was helpful

The airport shuttle stop was a good walk from the hotel (no fun when it's raining)....had the impression that it would pick up directly at the hotel the race car motif was weird

Comfort, clean, value for money

One big issue: I had an early flight and was told that the first shuttle was at 4:30 am. Three staff members told me the same thing: go 200 yards to the bus stop, and shuttle will be there at 4:30. I went there with heavy bags and at 4:50 still no shuttle and I had to walk in rain cold and dark all the way to airport. I saw the shuttle bud at the airport closed up and dark with no driver. Not a good experience because the shuttle to the airport was the only reason I booked this hotel.

The wacky decor made a nice change from standard fare. The king-size bed was extremely comfortable, and tea/coffee facilities appreciated.

The hotel was absolutely fine, but if you want to walk to the airport you take your life in your hands as there's no footpath and traffic is heavy.

Restaurant staff and food were better than expected. The proximity of the hotel to the airport and the soundproofing were also better than expected.

Internet connectivity was poor especially for a hotel geared towards the business traveler. The hallway leading to the guest rooms was a bit to dark.

Large shower in brightly lit bathroom. Close to airport and bus into town. Comfortable beds. Complementary tea and coffee and cookies.

There were no top sheets on the bed, just a duvet with cover. The duvet was too hot in the night. A separate top sheet would have been just right. The vintage posters in the hallway were colorful but as two women, we found these throwbacks to the 1950s a little unsettling, since all the photos were of sex-kitten women. Perhaps not the best decoration for a business hotel, for women or for families. OR...include some photos of other subjects, perhaps a man or two in a 1950s business suit and hat???

Convenient for early flight departure. Good breakfast. Free wi-fi. Reasoable price.

The Best Western Bordeaux Aeroport is as close to the Merignac airport as a hotel can be. Although quite close, the hotel provides drop-off service starting at 4:30 am (it may even start as early as 4 am). The hotel has a lovely pool with a ring of tall flowering trees around it to provide privacy and a sense of green-space. The rooms, though smallish, offer super-comfortable mattresses and down-comforters. The sparkling white sheeting and white walls make the rooms look larger and clean. Indeed the room and bathroom were spotless. The hotel personnel was friendly and professional. I had made a mistake with my reservation and they quickly resolved the issue such that I accrued no penalty due to my error--all this with cheer and good will. The hotel clerk with whom I spoke on the phone informed the next clerk of the situation on duty so when I arrived, he was well aware of what had happened. Everyone spoke perfect English. All in all -- I'd gladly return!

I would appreciate more lights in the parking lot for safety reasons! Also better, brighter signage to make the hotel easier to spot from the road, and easier to reach. The hallway leading to the rooms are on the dark side as well and would be more cheeful with more lights.

just usedthehotel as a stopover for an early flight next morning. i would not recommend this hotel in the summertime since it has no airconditioning
