In an 18th-century building in central Bordeaux, this modern hotel is just 215 yards from Notre-Dame Church. Free Wi-Fi access is available throughout the property.
Score from 368 reviews Good
The hotel is nicely renovated, the public areas are particularly nicely done. The staff are friendly and helpful. The foyer/dining area is comfortable; there is a limited evening menu with a bar service with, as might be expected, good Bordeaux wines. The "library" room is quiet and comfortable and a good place to work or relax. Good free wi fi in public areas and room. The breakfast choice is either limited continental or a full buffet. Perfect for rail travellers as it is right opposite the station.
Our room, a traditional double, was clean and modern but cramped; sufficient for a short city break. This is a comment rather than a criticism; the hotel is at the station which is ideal for rail travellers, but not in the midst of the centre of town. Therefore local points of interest and places to eat are very limited. However, it is about 20 minutes brisk, flat walk to the old town centre, which can be a pleasant walk along the riverfront. The tram service also runs to town from outside the hotel.
Staff were superb!
Wifi kept on dropping out
Good location. Right next to train station. Tram stops very close by. The staff are really very good and helpful. Breakfast offers good choice and in-spite of being in an old building the rooms are very modern and well maintained.
The rooms are not sound proofed. It seems to be practice to drive car with loud music in Bordeaux and given the windows are not sound proofed we could not get good sleep as we were woken up by Car music or just loud people returning back from late night parties.
Friendly staff with good help on recommendation on everything. Good variety and quality of breakfast. Hotel location is great.
Hotel signage is very small and hard to find the hotel if google map is not available.
We arrived late from London. Warm welcome and offers of coffee either downstairs or Nespresso in our room. Comfortable beds and sparkling bathroom, very little street noise even though we were on first floor. Generous breakfast in recently renovated ground floor. Gorgeous curving staircase. Skip the lift and look up to enjoy it. Five minutes to station and tram to city.
Nothing - would stay again. We were told the rooms would be renovated soon but we found the room very comfortable.
Everything. Staff were extremely helpful and room and bed were perfect.
The Hotel is located very close to the TGV station and so is a great staging point. Also it's on the tram line into the centre of Bordeaux which is good for shopping, eating or just watching the world go by from one of the many pavement cafes. The Hotel itself was good in all respects...i.e. it was clean, modern and had all the facilities one would normally need. The reception/breakfast area is smart and modern and the breakfast excellent. However what really made the difference for me was the friendliness, helpfulness and professionalism of the staff and that's what would make me come back again. Natalia and colleagues....thank you.
Wifi is weak in the rooms.
Staff was helpful, friendly. Anne Sophie and Samantha were especially helpful and cordial. The breakfast in the lobby was surprisingly good with good selections. Hotel was modern with Nespresso machine in room.
It was noisy in the street which disturbed our sleep but the hotel has no control over that. We did discover the air conditioning (accidentally!) and that helped the noise factor when we coild close the window. And the bed could have been ,ore comfortable as well.
location breakfast hotel decor friendly staff
room must be large than this
Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful Lovely reception area with free coffees The WIFI actually works! (we're so used to hotels where the WIFI is useless) Comfortable bed Convenient location near train station and restaurants
The lift is very small but it's not the end of the world
convenience to train station and tram and ease of checking in and out
Wi fi failed for most of the tim e but staff said we should have told them, which we did not.
Close to train station and easy tram ride into city centre. Rooms were small but clean and well appointed. Staff were friendly.
Wifi dropped in and out. Walls were a little thin so you could hear the neighbours.
The hotel was very close to the station and this was great when pulling a rather heavy suitcase. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable.
Although I really liked the hotel and the fact that it was close to the station, I thought that the area close to the station was rather dirty and I didn't really feel confident in walking on my own back to the hotel from the centre of town in the early evening.
Staff excellent, very helpful. Anne Sophie and Samantha, at reception, were gracious, concerned and we appreciated their kindness. Breakfast was very good. Room small but comfortable and clean. This, hotel was a great value.
Very friendly helpful staff. Walk from Gare St. Jean. Clean comfortable hotel.
Don't drive here--too many one way streets around the Gare. Super easy walk; frustrating drive.
Hotel is very nice and room comfortable. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Location is excellent, being so close to the train station and also within walking distance of the beautiful city of Bordeaux.
very close to railway station; combination of modern style and old walls; breakfast was quite okay; receptions always friendly
noise at night from railway- or streetwork
Location next to the train station but beware, dodgy area next to the sex district. If you want to stay in Bordeaux more than one night, go towards the city
Warm welcome, tasteful decoration, extensive buffet breakfast, free coffee-tea, good bed & bad, nice breakfast room/bar
We didn't sleep much due to noise on the street. The hotel can't help this. It was because it was weekend people in Bordeaux seem to like to go out, get drunk and make noise. A pity, because all the rest of our stay was super-be.
Great location for being near the train station, but a bit of a walk/tram ride to the city. Nespresso machine in the room! Excellent Breakfast.
Lack of power outlets! Very small rooms.
friendly personnel; parking
very small room
The hotel was excellent in every way especially the staff who went above and beyond what you normally get to make our stay as pleasant as possible.
Hotel was close to the rail station, which suited us as we were travelling by train. The breakfast had a good choice of food.
very good location: near railway station, car rental agencies and shuttle bus to the airport. And very fast tram to the city centre. Still quiet place. Breakfast expensive but really good. Very friendly and helpful staff
a bit small room
From the moment we arrived we were impressed by the friendliness and service levels provided by the staff. Recent refurbishments have been very well done, and accommodations were terrific value for money. After five weeks travelling in Europe, I was amazed at the value. Location is great with the light rail outside the door.
