Very near tram line so good to get into town. Staff welcoming and helpful
Parking bit on the expensive side
Location and assured quality from the Best Western chain of hotels.
The staff were very helpful. Comfortable room with tea/coffee, air-con.
Breakfast was a bit basic.
Good location with friendly helpful staff
*Convenient for station, trams and city
friendly staff, safe parking space for our bikes, clean room, reasonably quiet, good shower
bathroom a bit small, loud aircondition
The hotel was perfect for an overnight stop to catch an early train but it was also within reasonable distance to the centre of Bordeaux.
The coffee tea facilities in the room and at the reception desk
Close to the station, friendly and clean, good stroll to the town centre or near tram if you like, pleasant and helpful staff.
Room was a bit tiny, breakfast was overpriced.
staff very helpful
Location, excellent breakfast, coffee and tea in the room
Taxi service is overpriced
If you like trains, as we do, this is the place to stay. We arrived early, not long after twelve but the receptionist let us into the room right away so we were able to unpack and have a cup of tea before going out to explore.
Excellent staff, ideal location, clean contemporary rooms in a hotel with lots of character.
Nothing we did not like.
Location, coffee & tea facilities in the room.
Room was very small.
Great staff, good sized rooms and nice breakfast handy location for the station and trams
Not located in nicest part of Bordeaux
Staff were helpful
small rooms. Decor tired
Well located hotel with very comfortable air conditioned rooms. Excellent breakfast selection with good range of newspapers.
Wifi bandwidth inadequate at peak times.
You wouldn't think being located next to a busy train station would be a good spot but this just so handy to good eating and links to the city.
Room was compact but bathroom was way too small - had to sit sideways on the toilet! Buffet breakfast was comprehensive but hot food was not ... hot.
Easy to find by car, with choice of private or public parking nearby. Small, but very comfortable room. Tram connection into the city centre is right outside. Helpful multilingual staff.
Price for breakfast was a bit steep, but plenty of cafés nearby serving 'petit deuj.' as an alternative. Wifi very sluggish; very fraustrating when you are trying to run a business on the move.
Close location to train station & easy access to Bordeaux centre
Great breakfast, clean comfortable room, comfy bed, parking, next to tram stop for easy access to the main attractions. Next to the train station so would be handy for train travellers. Beautiful old building.
Wifi was good but only worked on one side of the room.
It was raining and they brought me an umbrella!
Simple but sufficient.
The location can be very confusing; there is a street with the exact same name on approximately 35 minutes walking distance from the hotel. Do not make the same mistake as we did... (30 degrees, walking with a small child on your flip flops is not recommendable) a friendly local told us it happens very often and brought us to the correct address. A notification on forehand from the hotel would have been appreciated, when we discussed it the receptionist played stupid, was not very friendly and told us she could not rename the street just for us.
Right next to the station (if this is a priority for you) and an easy tram or 15 min walk to the main parts of the city. The area is as you might expect around a station but I didn't feel unsafe at night - although I stayed here during the Bordeaux wine festival when there were plenty of people around. Comfortable and clean, and the fridge and expresso machine were great. Also convenient for the airport shuttle (although I took the tram and public bus anyway).
Nothing - it suited me for my purposes. You may wish to be nearer the city centre, shops etc, but the transport in Bordeaux is excellent.
