Cathedral of Notre-Dame de Reims is the cathedral where the kings of France used to be crowned. It was added to the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1991, along with the former Abbey of Saint-Remi and the Palace of Tau.
Palace of Tau, the archiepiscopal palace, built between 1498 and 1509, and in part rebuilt in 1675, was occupied by the kings on the occasion of their coronation.
Saint Rémi of Reims Basilica, an easy one-mile walk from the Cathedral of Notre Dame of Reims, is named for the 5th century St. Rémy, who was the patron saint of St Thierry.

The front desk staff were very efficient and friendly. The room was large (we had a Privilege room) and the location is great, especially in winter since the Christmas market is right in front of the hotel. It was a bit noisy in the afternoon while people shopped (and Christmas music) but very quiet at night and early morning. The bin hadn't been emptied in our room. The swimming pool area could be better. |

Good location. Helpful staff and no long wait at the checkout. Cool bar with good champagne, and atmosphere. No hotel car park. The car park across the street is expensive. |

Warm welcome by staff, and an excellent restaurant at the hotel itself. Rooms and common areas are quite large for a French hotel, and feature haute style decor. The pool is excellent, however the hot tub could be a lot hotter. :) |

The location for this hotel is great. Once you have parked your car, everything else is walkable around the city centre. I found one member of staff very rude, Jean Baptise. I have stayed at this hotel 6 times so far. When I checked in this year (October 2009) I asked if i could have the same room as last year. On the first fllor over looking the road. I said I cant remember the exact room number but our room had a sofa. His reply was "None of our rooms on the first floor have sofa's, I know my room"!!...how rude!! I have pictures taken in the room last year when I was sitting on a sofa!! |

Excellent hotel in very central position; however, visitors should be warned that Reims is undergoing a 2-year+ programme to install a tramway system. As a result, the centre is subject to considerable disruption. |

Its location and the helpful staff The extractor in the bathroom didn't work. The room was right next to the lift so was noisy. There seemed to be no artificial ventilation so we had to sleep with the windows open which was extremely noisy, particularly as the street cleaning machines start shortly after 04:00 |

This was our second stay at this lovely hotel and we wouldn't hesitate to book it again should we decide to revisit Reims. The rooms are lovely and its in an excellent location for shopping and visiting the champagne houses, private secure parking is also a bonus. |

Luxury of the Privilage room. Excellent Champagne Bar with lovely staff, and good atmosphere.Bang in the centre of town, and we could just put our car in the garage for 4 days and know it was safe. Buffet breakfast was good value for money, it kept us going until the evening, and didn't need any lunch. |

Room was modern, with a good bed, and the hotel personnel were very helpful, trying very hard to meet our needs. The location was convenient to the train and shops for food and electronics when I needed a better adapter for my netbook. The air conditioning worked, but not well enough to cool the room sufficiently. We opened the windows, but because we were on the street side, the partygoers late on a Saturday night were quite loud. We were told that the inner courtyard would have been noisy, too. The refrigerator was very small and couldn't work very well because it was designed to fit into a space with little ventilation. |
