Best Western Kemaris  

Biarritz was a real surprise. Very attractive with many good restaurants.

The proprietor was very helpful.

The close proximity to the town centre of Biarritz and yet in a quiet part of town. Very friendly staff. Nice breakfast.

We required a family room for ourselves and two teenage daughters. The room(s) provided were ideal. In essence we had two linked rooms, but the second bedroom only accessible though the first. The rooms were modern, clean and comfortable with plenty of room/storage space. Each room had a its own bathroom. Located about ten minutes walk from town centre shopping and maybe 15 from the main beach, it was close enough to take advantage of the lively bars and restaurants, but far enough out to be quiet late at night. Breakfast was adequate with an option of either full buffet or 'express' - essentially just coffee & croissants. A nice touch was that room service supplied 4 small bottles of water each day.

Parking in Biarritz in August is a bit of a nightmare and the hotel had no space for us in their rear car park. We had to park in a public multi-storey in the town 15 minutes walk away and 15 Euros per day. We'd have been happy to pay that for the flexibility of a guaranteed spot at the hotel.

It was clean and served our purposes for a two day trip to Biarritz.

There is no airconditioning--I should've paid closer attention to the hotel description, but it was incredibly hot and the small fan did very little to cool the room, which was really, really hot.

The hotel is clean modern and well presented, it is close to but not in the town centre, however most attractions are still within walking distance (approx 10 min to the town centre or beach). One of it's most attractive features is a private car park which is essential in Biarittz where parking is difficult to find. We had travelled by motorcycle and enjoyed free use of the secure parking area, however I believe cars are charged. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable on local attractions and facilities.

The hotel is wedged into a busy residential / holiday rental area which was noisy all night with both traffic and revellers at one side, and the car park at the back which had people coming and going at all hours. That said we stayed at the peak time and it was only a minor niggle. The toilet in the room was separate from the bathroom and had no sink, so you still had to go to the bathroom afterwards.

Very friendly staff and lots of help with directions and parking, we enjoyed our stay very much.

The room was very noisy at the front and the floor needed sweeping after we had been to the beach the first day, there was still sand on the floor the following evening.

Very central, 5 minute walk to beach. On site parking, nice breakfast. Accommodation basic, but clean. Great for overnight. Reception very helpful, spoke good English.

Damp smell in hallways, metal shutters on windows, extremely uncomfortable beds

Very friendly and helpful staff who explained local points of interest and the best walk to take to enjoy as much as possible on limited time. Excellent location and very clean and modern hotel.

The staff is nice people. The room was confortable.
