Choice of restaurants. Comfortable rooms

We liked pretty much everything! Staff very friendly, food amazing and worth the price (we ate in the Distillerie), room huge and very comfortable (we stayed in a 'charm' room). Altogether, a very special end to our holiday.

Our friends were disturbed by noise from a wedding at the chateau. Bed a bit soft for my taste. Why not include breakfast in the rate? 12.50 euros per person a bit expensive for what there was.

Very good value. Attached to a chateau with a choice of 3 good restaurants. Spacious room.

Could not get cold water out of the tap - the hot was hot (good) the cold was warm (not good for cleaning teeth!)

Very convenient for an overnight stop on way to/from Calais

All 3 of the restaurants within walking disatance are now quite expensive with no 'cheap' option.

Good staff and interesting buildings. Character rooms in certain parts of the hotel. Convenient location - only and hour to Calais. Ample and safe (not secure though) parking. Pleasant gardens to stroll round.

Room rates varry considerably from week to week.

Good price for the level of hotel, very convenient for the Eurotunnel. Staff very friendly and helpful and good level of English spoken by everyone. Bistro restuarant was very good.

Fitness room was a bit sparse

We have always enjoyed our stays at the Best Western La Metairie - it is a relaxing environment near enough to Bethune and other places of interest to us both. We had booked a room in the annexe and were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to the castle - what a beautiful experience.

The staff were excellent. Rooms different which was good. Very good choice of food, with three restaurants available.

We wanted a hotel in a quiet position for an over night stop en route to holiday destination and this met our needs perfectly. The choice of 3 restaurants on site was very good and the surroundings were attractive and peaceful. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

The comfort rooms outside (possibly converted stableblock) with brick ceilings were fantastic

Room a little basic but good size

Absolutely fabulous. Room was modern yet full of character a real haven after a full days travelling. Staff were very welcoming and the restaurants a sheer joy with great food and a good wine selection in a warm environment. Perfect balance all round. Anyone traveling to France from the north of England should stay on this side of the channel, 30 mins from Calais yet in the heart of France.

Perhaps another English chanel on the TV for the loan traveller, it was wet outside or I'd have gone for a walk.

When you arrive the building is very impressif, the staff were very pleasant and helpful and we did get an upgrade, I will definitely stay there again.

This is a truly lovely hotel - we only visited the one restaurant on site La Distillerie and on both nights I chose one of the fish courses which was delightful. Have a go at the strawberries in a cup - it is not what you imagine! The staff are very friendly and the rooms in the annex with vaulted ceilings are lovely - I would have no qualms in recommending this hotel to anyone - it was a treat and although it only has a 3 star rating it was better than some of the 4 star hotels we have stayed in.

I am afraid that the breakfast was very poor and overpriced - not at all like the evening meals

Convenient rural and quiet location, close to motorway, between coast and Paris, with interesting design and spacious surrounds. Our room was large, with all conveniences except air conditioning. The Reception and Restaurant staff were very efficient and helpful.

Like many places we have stayed in Europe, our room was very warm for some inexplicable reason (underfloor heating?). This was countered by opening a window, a remedy less convenient in city stays.

Spacious. Pleasant grounds with impressive vegetable gardens. Convenient location for travelling south from Calais. Comfortable well-planned room.

UItstekende restaurants. Gratis upgrading naar chambre de charme omwille van technische problemen. Uiterst behulpzaam personeel.

Ontbijt is nogal beperkt in La Métairie.
