Have stayed at this hotel nearly every year for 20 years, usually for one night before ferry crossing next morning. This time accommodation was in a very small room. WC almost impossible to sit down with door closed. Main reason for staying was the restaurant which is beautiful and always excellent, if rather pricey. No lift to our room on 2nd floor. We were offered upgrade for an extra €10 but thought the price was high enough and declined. Tried to get upgrade instead of taking breakfast but the hotel wouldn't co-operate with that would have worked in their favour. Despite fact that hotel is used in connection with ferry crossings from Ouistreham with an early crossing at 8.00am meaning arrival at ferry port for passengers at 7.15am, no attempt is made to bring breakfast forward to 6:30am to give residents time to get to ferry on time. However, we were able to get into breakfast room and have a very rushed breakfast with what was available just before 7:00am enabling us to arrive at ferry at 7:30am. That is not the way to encourage ferry passengers to stay and one can only assume that the proprietors would prefer not to have such guests staying. Any recommendations would have to be qualified. Some of the comments are valid. |

The staff were friendly and the location was good. We enjoyed the free parking and were lucky to get a space each day as there are only 14 spaces. The rooms looked a little old fashioned, but the reception area was decorated lovely. The restaurant smelled wonderful, but we did not try it. Sitting in the bar area for over an hour in the morning, I was never approached and asked if I would like to order a coffee. |

Very friendly reception, clean rooms, excellent breakfast facilities,.. Parking facilities at and around the hotel are terribly bad. When you come back to the hotel after a daytrip in the area there is no possibility to have a nearby parking spot. |

Friendly staff, nice breakfast, clean rooms, ease of use of hotel with baby Free internet and wi-fi was advertised everywhere on the web-site and in the hotel guest directory, however, the wifi didnt work and there were not alternative data points available in the room - all other aspects of the hotel were fine and if it was not for this one point, I would easily recommend the hotel to anyone. |

Modern hotel partly built on the old priory - charming. Modern & newish bathroom. Good quality amenities - soap/shampoo. Location - right next to Chateau Ducal and an easy short walk to city centre! One of the shower doors was falling of the railing. The mattress, while firm, is old and uneven. Needs replacing. The dingy blanket and sheet approach is outdated for a modern hotel like this - needs replacing with crisp duvet and cover. |

Lovely hotel and a gorgeous room with a unique and romantic atmosphere. The staff at reception were extremely helpful. Breakfast was a little disappointing, in particular the catering staff. They seemed very timid and crept around the room. This made asking for assistance a little disconcerting. |

There was no control for the heat in the room and it became quite cold during the night. The bed was hard and sunken in the centre. The room had a bath but no proper shower inclosure. Most people perfer a shower to a bath when traveling. I chose this hotel on Best Western's reputation. |

Central with own parking.Cosy atmosphere with good restaurant standards of presentation & food quality.Good breakfast selection too. Price of the drinks a bit on the expensive side especially spirits! Not many small 3 star hotels stock Chateau Petrus @E 1600 per bottle !! Wow! |

Position en centre ville La chambre n'était absolument pas à la hauteur du nombre d'étoiles (***) : taille miniscule, mobilier dépareillé, rideaux de mauvais goût, rénovation à la va-vite, pas de climatisation… |
