Best Western Le Dauphin et Le Spa du Prieuré  

Like many other hotels, this hotel is also positioned in the centre of Caen.

Careful: - this hotel charges extra for the SPA they are advertising (30 EUR for 2). - the SPA is tiny (the smimming pool is about 3-4 meters long) and not worth the money at all. - the rooms were very small and smelly. - the manager was extremely unfriendly and rude. The whole place is highly overpriced (compared to other options nearby). We cannot recommend this hotel at all.

Helpful staff. Very close to the castle. Nice breakfasts although we were told they finished 930 instead of 1030. Continental breakfast 6 euros more comprehensive one 13. Quiet if you get courtyard room.

Pool was laughably small and as it was reason for choosing the hotel this was extremely disappointing. Plus there was a charge of 15 euro per day to use the spa which wasn't made clear. Unbelievable. Bed was quite small - not sure if it was even a standard double.

The level of service was very high. Staff were really welcoming. Very professional.Breakfast excellent. Bar very attractive. Room very comfortable.

The food, location and facilities were fantastic. Stayed there last year. Will stay again. Have stayed in other Best Western hotels in France. All good.

Parking a bit tight at times.

Location-near the centre of Caen. Very clean, room was a fair size for one. Facilities were very good, as was the restaurant.

The staff here are very friendly and helpful. There is some ongoing building work at this hotel but this did not affect our stay at all. The location is excellent and although you are in the centre the rooms are very peaceful and quiet. The buffet breakfast was to a high standard although some may consider expensive. The hotel is 3 star although I have stayed at four star hotels which I would consider not to be of the same standard as this hotel. I do think this is reflected maybe in the cost. The rooms are very confortable, quite spacious with a good sized bed.

Teeny weeny toilets in the rooms!

Staff very knowledgeable and helpful, esp. Antoine. Included breakfast very good value. Hotel bar expensive - best avoided. Location excellent for Caen itself. Within easy walking distance of all town centre facilities and Caen's major historical sites. Car park very small. No lift. Rooms small but clean and comfortable.
