Incredible location and nice charming hotel. Close to the castle and comercial city center area.

The location of this hotel is perfect, right below William the Conqueror's castle and next to shopping and excellent restaurants.

The hotel promotes itself as a spa. The spa is actually very small and hotel guests have to pay extra for access. Also we were told when checking- in that breakfast was included, but when we checked out they charged us extra for it.

The restaurant was excellent. The hotel is charming and the staff are VERY competent, friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice.

very convenient, well appointed, we have been staying there for 30 years and like the family continuation. Some of the desk staff need to understand English a little better, We asked for a twin room on two seperate occasions this year but he did not understand and we had doubles, which at the moment is inconvenient for us. We will not hesitate to stay again in the New Year.

Nice location.

This is an expensive hotel, compared to the rest in Caen, but any way they charge for every thing; breakfast, use of saunas and pool.

The hotel is in the city centre and some tram and bus stops are very close by. My room was quite small but for a solo traveller staying only one night and pretty much only sleeping here this was okay for me. I did not use the Spa.

Very smooth service for early breakfast (outside normal hours). Really appreciated that.

It is well placed for City Centre

No lifts. We were on 2nd floor and at our age it was difficult to get up stairs.

Location

I chose the hotel because I like a Spa and a Gym. The gym was very poor (misleading photos) and the Spa was equally poor and would only be able to accommodate 2 people at a time. The pool was perhaps 3m x 1.5m - tiny. And there was a supplement of €15 pp to use this poor facility. Very misleading to call this a Spa hotel. It isn't.

Once we found the hotel, it was centrally located and close to the Normandy beaches which was the primarly reason for our visit to the area. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was more than adequate. I would recommend this hotel enthusiastically

Located in the town centre, a few steps from the castle

It's all mouth and trousers. The website gives the impression of a designer hotel - but the corridors and staircases are late-1980s corporate, it's in the student quarter so constant noise all night - and the staff didn't want to hear of any problems. I even found myself in reception on the fourth morning to ask for shampoo, since the 20cl bottle of combined shampoo/shower gel had never been replaced. "We don't replace them - it was a gift from us for your first night". And this is a three-star hotel - a spa hotel, indeed! How much would it cost them to provide shampoo, for heaven's sake? (We didn't bother with the spa pool, which was about the size of a large towel, and visible from the car park).

The staff was excellent. They where all smile and service and contributed greatly to a lovely stay. The hotel has a brilliant location, close to the main attractions, port, shopping and restaurant area.

We missed the air conditioning in the room.

The staff at this delightful hotel were brilliant, so kind and helpful. We had cycled and they kept our bikes safely locked away at night. The breakfast was fantastic, with so much choice and delicious. The room was lovely and very comfortable.

A clean, comfortable and welcoming hotel. We enjoyed our stay and would choose to stay with youa gain, when we are in the area.

The location was wonderful because it was near the harbor and the old city. Directions to the hotel were not good and parking is very difficult in the area.

Helpful staff. Very close to the castle. Nice breakfasts although we were told they finished 930 instead of 1030. Continental breakfast 6 euros more comprehensive one 13. Quiet if you get courtyard room.

Pool was laughably small and as it was reason for choosing the hotel this was extremely disappointing. Plus there was a charge of 15 euro per day to use the spa which wasn't made clear. Unbelievable. Bed was quite small - not sure if it was even a standard double.

Clean modern hotel in an old french building. It is rated in Fedors travel. The staff were english speaking & went out of their way to arrange a trip to the D Day beaches. The rooms are new & clean & private. Very centrally located

Nowhere did the website mention that there was not a lift - I had to drag my luggage up the stairs. The slightly built receptioist tried to help me, but was exhausted half way up.

Excelente ubicación. Muy cerca de los punto de interés de la ciudad y de los buenos restaurantes. Pese a ser céntrico, está en una zona relativamente tranquila. Ideal para un fin de semana en la ciudad.

El spa es minúsculo y carece de privacidad (con vista sobre el parking). El hotel cuenta con una zona renovada y otra más antigua que carece de ascensor y es un poco más sencilla.

Gelukkig vergaten ze de ondermaatse spa aan te rekenen op de eindfactuur...

de jacuzzi deed was tegelijk het zwembadje. Het water was véél te koud om er in te kunnen liggen relaxen.

Le personnel de l'hôtel est souriant et aimable, c'est très agréable. Le petit déjeuner buffet est très bon. L’esthéticienne qui s'occupe des soins Auriège est très compétente, elle prend son travail à cœur et ça se ressent. Le wifi gratuit dans les chambres : indispensable en 2013.

La déco n'est pas exceptionnelle. On peut conserver le charme d'un établissement sans pour autant que ce soit vieillot. Un peu trop de monde au même moment dans le spa alors qu'il faut réserver à l'avance !

La salle de bain et son chauffage au sol.

Le bruit de machinerie d'ascenseur et la taille du lit en 140x200. J'ai vu largement mieux pour ce standing....
