We booked a Privilege room @ Euro155 per night. There were no drawers for clothes, tiles missing on the bathroom floor, damage to the sink surround, on 2 of the 5 nozzles on the power shower worked, the bedside lamp was broken and, of the 18 channels advertised on the tv, only 9 worked. A walk in the woodland around the hotel revealed poorly maintained paths and a huge pile of rubbish (old sinks and other debris). Despite being called a Country Club, there are no facilities whatsoever. We had one evening meal which was ok, but pricey (the wine, a St Nicolas, was 30 Euros - freely available locally for around 7 Euros). We constantly had to ask for milk, tea and coffee to be replaced in the room. The bill for two nights, with one meal only and no breakfast ? 413.40 Euros. Compare this to the Hotel Ricordeau in Loue nearby: way, way superior in every aspect, great food, superb facilities, beautiful rooms at a comparable price (we stayed there before, but missed booking it for this trip).
Staff were friendly and helpful, particularly Michel.
