Same mix up over beds in the room as experienced in Germany but relocated without additional charge, unlike Germany. Nice breakfast.

It's a fair walk into the city centre and the Amphitheatre.

a very friendly staff, a small but good swimming pool to cool off, wifi working fine and free of charge, the jacuzzi was free but dirty (sand) , the local good (20 min walk to the centre of nimes) and important for travellers sufficient, guarded and free parking space...

the buffet is too limited to justify a 12,5 euro fee, the coffee machine was broken, we had to prepare our breakfast table ourselve and when something was empty (bread, eggs..) , there was no staff around to bring additional food. The bath has a shower but it is too short to get under if you are 1m85.

Quiet nice room. Fantastic boulangerie across the street- biggest we've seen yet in France. Interesting shower with stained glass & cute little wine bar at entrance. Overall nice place & Nimes is a great relaxing town with few tourists & great roman coliseum.

    Nothing- nice hotel!

We were very happy with everything. The hotel is well situated and the rooms are very comfortable and clean. Hotel gardens/trees are lovely and the pool area is very pleasant. We found the staff very helpful. Very good parking facilities.

Pebble walkway from car park to Reception not good for pulling luggage.

Good location, very friendly staff, good internet, clean and comfortable rooms, and good breakfast. Liked the patio off our room and loved the wine bar on the hotel property. Good selection of local wines and they stayed open until 2300, so we were able to have some wine after dinner.

The only issue was the hot water in our room was a little temperamental at times. It wasn't a huge issue since it was summer and the weather was warm.

Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable beds and pillows, nice and relaxed atmosphere, good breakfasts, pleasant garden and pool area. Please be aware that hotel is located about a 15-20 minute walk into the town but the locality is good and the walk was part of our holiday - we enjoyed it but it may not be for everyone. All in all, it was a first class choice for our stay in Nimes

    Everything was fine

Staff extremely friendly and always happy to help. A very clean, efficient and homely feel. It cost 6€ from the train station to the hotel in a taxi. We had a deluxe room highly recommended and comes with a pool view. A lovely wine restaurant on site. We have already booked another stay! We would definitely rate this higher than a 3* hotel. We also stayed in the holiday inn nearby, rated a 4* , hugely disappointed with the service and standard... Just Incase you are looking there- a big no no!! Looking forward to our stay again at the best western

Our week’s experience with Best Western L’Orangerie was like our experience with Nimes. Neither lived up to our hopes or expectations. The hotel offered positive features but … these were offset by three specific things. 1) Hot water was often unavailable in the morning – something that can’t be forgiven. 2) Staff were very friendly and tried their best to be helpful but often proved unknowledgeable about things of import to visitors, for example, the local bus system, that should have been under their command. This indicates lack of training and reflects on management – not on the desk clerks. 3) is much more significant and should be noted by those considering making a booking at this hotel. We booked our week stay a month in advance through and had a quoted rate (room + tax). Upon checkout, we were charged a different amount, with “explanations” from the desk clerk and subsequently by a follow up email from the hotel that indicate a total lack of understanding of what a quoted rate means. The amount involved was very small – of no consequence at all. However, the principle is of VERY great consequence !! The hotel clearly indicated that they considered they had the right to increase the bill over their original quote by any amount they so chose using whatever justification they wished. Given their approach, the increase of 20 Euro could just have easily been 200 or 2000. This is a highly unethical approach to doing business and potential clients should beware !!

Good quiet location and easy access to motorways. Very hot and pool was a bonus. Staff obliging and helped with luggage. Excellent parking on site. Nice room overlooking pool for our 4-night stay.

Pebble walkway between carpark and reception. Hard to pull luggage. Concrete or paved path needed. No restaurant in hotel but a few close by.

Our room looked clean and had everything to be expected from the Best Western franchise.

Nîmes is a compact city so there is no need for a hotel to be this far away from the old town and all the sights of interest. It is around 1.6Km (1 mile) or 20 minutes of walking away from les Arènes (the Roman arena). It is also 1.2Km (3 quarters of a mile) or 15 minutes of walk from Gare SNCF de Nîmes (train station).

The hotel was very well laid out & felt like a french house rather than a bland international place. Our bedroom was quite large & the aircon was excellent - really quiet. The staff were lovely too. Nice small pool area with lovely plants. The walk into town is 8 mins. & very straightforward. Le Vin de nos Peres is 10 steps from the hotel. A bonus for us.

very small issue but it could cost you a lot if you were staying for more than a few days. The card in the room said 'complimentary tea/coffee could be requested at any time'. It seemed like a good idea because the hotel is not in town so there are no cafes near by. We ordered twice and were charged when leaving. My french wasn't good enough to contest it (only 10 euro)

Quiet, good location to Nimes sights and for day trips.

Fully charged account to credit card prior to our stay. I would have liked option to use travel money.
