Hotel is well situated. Nice additional moments: lunch box, 1 hour internet free, welcome bottle of wine. Small but nice rooms, clean and tidy. Good to have tea-pot and iron in the room. There can be unpleasant surprises: one night a man from another room by mistake opened our door with his room key. Our friends one evening came to room to find there are no curtains on windows and pigamas are thrown on the floor. After complaint to reception a man came to hang back the curtains (same night), but it wasn't much pleasant to collect pigamas thrown on floor and wait till curtains are back (instead of going to bed) |

Good location: 3 min walk from the metro station (Grands Boulevards) Terrible breakfast. Hardly anything to eat. The dining area was very small and we always had to wait for table, glasses, cutlery, plates, etc. The female staff who was always in the daytime was never friendly, though the male staffs who worked at nights were ok. Our room was fairly clean, but the hotel itself had bad odor especially in the corridors. |

Well-located, extremely good value; breakfast and lunch-box saved us quite a bit of money; made our trip better. Space is cramped, especially in the elevator and for the breakfast. Some aspects of the hotel need to be renovated. |

Friendly staff and good breakfast We paid 30 EUR for an extra bed for the 11 year old kid. However, we were additionally charged 30EUR for the 3 year old kid who stay in the same bed with parents while the booking condition says this would be free. We checked out one day earlier because of the high cost. |

The room was clean and the breakfast was good, so the basics are all covered. Otherwise, the two rooms we had were very small and we were on the 7th floor, which was not at all convenient, especially considering that the elevator was the smallest I've ever seen. Two people can ride it, but only if they really like each other and aren't carrying any luggage! Also, the hallways are very small and narrow, so if you're claustrophobic at all, do not choose this hotel. Finally, the a/c quit working the evening we arrived, so it was very warm in our room. We asked the staff in the morning, and they apologized and said it had gone out the night before, but they couldn't get anyone to fix it that late at night. |

The hotel was clean and quiet. The bathroom was very nicely remodeled and I enjoyed the fully enclosed shower. The location was very convenient to the Metro and restaurants. The room was very small - no room for luggage storage. |

It's very conveniently located around most of the food and shopping outlets at Haussman Boulevard. The lift is too small to accommodate the luggage. Fortunately for us, we were on the 1st floor so able to bring down the big luggages without the lift. |

Its location, The staff were helpfull and accomodating. The noise between 1am and 3am in the morning from inside the hotel. The hotel should inform customers of there responsibility to be quite when coming in late. The lift is just not big enough. |

The central location and the offer of a free packed lunch. The fact that they could not fulfil our reservation and we were forced to stay in another hotel for the first night of our three night stay. We were not offered any form of apology or offered compensation or a reduced rate. The lift in the hotel was very small. |

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel is on a quiet, mostly residential street. Metro stop (Line 8, Grand Boulevard) was about 2.5 blocks south. Family room (6th floor) had a great balcony for unwinding and dining. Pleanty of restaurants very close, but in Paris you can't throw a rock without hitting a restaurant. Small, slow elevator was only alternative to stairs. Cable TV should have more than one english speaking station (CNN); yes, that's the standard in Europe, but it could improve. A map to the parking garage would be helpful. |

Comfortable stay at Axel Opera. Staff were friendly and helpful and spoke English. Bed was comfortable which is always a plus. Bathroom was large for a European hotel. Breakfast was plentiful with plenty to choose. Room had a lockable safe which was excellent for keeping our valuables etc. Numerous Restaurants and Take-away places in close proximity to the hotel. The hotel lift unfortunately is rather small - very squeezy for 2 people and your cases. |

In general nice hotel but few issues during the stay caused us. We travelled with small kids and our room was on 6th floor. The elevator was broken, which was not very nice. Also on one morning no stuff on brakfast room, and it was really a mess. So feedback is that facilities should work and more stuff is needed. more stuff is needed, during our stay it was not in place |

We changed 3 rooms on 3 different consecutive nights. Not very good hotel, only thing memorable was the location which is quite central and close to the metro the elevator was broken and we were on the 4th floor. |

Location and wifi 1. Tv did not work 2. Elevator did not work 3. Somedays we could not eat breakfast, because there was no table available (went back twice- still full, very annoying) . 4. Sometimes there was no bread, or something else ran out. 4. The key would not work every day which required a trip down to 3 flight of stairs to get it fixed. 5. |

The staff was just great - very welcoming and friendly to guests. The room was small but cozy - and very, very clean! The breakfast is very good - unusual amount of choices for a hotel complimentary breakfast. I will definitely stay at the BW Axel Opera when I visit Paris again. |
