Only the location. This was my first time in Paris and my advise for all the first timers in Paris will be: "If you are planning to spend an average amount as you do in all over Europe for a clean and decent hotel, don't expect to stay in a "hotel" in Paris". Because all you can get will be a hostelwise/pensionwise place to stay. And two little tips for the people who are planning to stay in Axel : 1. Don't accept to stay in rooms with ending 03. These rooms (except for the one on the 7th floor) are having window but all you can see is a dirty yellow painted wall in 1,0 meter distance. 2. If you will have two luggages you have to use the elevator one by one because it is impossible to fit in the elevator with regards to its funny size.

Good breakfast, good location near Metro, shops and restaurants. Inclusive packed lunch was a bonus. Staff were usually very friendly and helpful. Bathroom was very small. There were a few times when it was busy that the staff on reception were under pressure as there was no back up for them.

Cute, reasonably comfortable, clean and in a great spot (near lots of restaurants and shops, and within strolling distance to the heart of the city, and not too touristy). It was helpful that the hotel front desk staff members all spoke decent English (and were patient with my attempts to speak French). Wifi in room was a great help. Beds were a little hard and uncomfortable. Also, our heater did not seem to work well. I think also on busier days, breakfast items ran out kind of quickly.

An excellent location with a walking distance to many of the sightsees (ie. Louvre, Opera, Seine, sime churces). There are very good and reasonable prised restaurants in the neighnourhood. It is a very nice & cosy hotel, our room was clean and the staff very helpful. Highly recommended by us! The name of the hotel changed after I made the reservation from Best Western to Quality Hotels. It would have been nice to get some ingormation about it beforehand.

Excellent location. Helpful and friendly staff. Decent breakfast buffet.Free wi-fi with good bandwidth. Relatively small room but clean and comfortable. Grands Boulevards Metro station just around the corner. This hotel is perfect for a short stay in Paris. The Grands Magasins and many good restaurants are within walking distance and all the main landmarks and attractions are easily reachable from the nearby metro station. Very small elevator. Ask for a room on the first floors so you don't have to take it.

Excellent value for money in a convenient part of Paris. Friendly, helpful staff. The additional items such as welcome drink, free internet and lunch box were appreciated. The room is tiny, but adequate for a short stay. The room size can be equated with the costs - both small. I appreciate the opportunity to keep costs down by sacrificing space.

1. Reception morning on-duty is great. They are helpful and friendly but definitely not the night-duty staff who are rude and unfriendly 2.The elevator stench and unbearable 3. The water boiler is non-functional. When approach the night-duty staff to replace it, we are told its not possible and we need to get hot water from the reception. The hot water provided hd a awful taste. 4. A/C or fun is not working.

Lunch boxes are a great idea - added real value in central Paris All contact with hotel staff was very disappointing: We had to queue for 30 minutes to check in as everyone else was experiencing problems. Tables at breakfast were not cleared/re-set so there was nowhere to sit. Taxis were not ordered as staff had said they would be. Staff did not seem to care if guests were satisfied or would return.
