Location, guys, was quite nice We arrived at 3:20pm - the room wasn't ready, we were advised to wait (quote) 10-15 minutes as max - it was really done in 40 minutes. The room is very simple, nothing to be rememberamle. But the city is the city - it's remarkable.

The restaurant lived up to its best in town reputation. A 5star experience. Don't miss it. Staff very responsive and helpful. Our room spacious,and V.reasonably priced.location to cbd good. Renovation in rooms good, but in parts. It's good value for a good three star level Room renovation program has some excellent results ,the bathroom was 4star. However the renovation has some way to go, and although comfortable, its more at 3star levels,waiting for fresh paint, drapes,,new beds. Tea making set had to be requested. And one of those toilets in a cupboard job! Dijon is installing a tramway, the roads are a muddy mess, making the hotel a long arduous trek from the station.

We stayed at the BW Hostelleire du Chapeau Rouge on a Monday - it would have been useful to have been reminded in the email confirmation of our booking that the hotel restaurant is closed on a Monday.

Wonderful restaurant! However not cheap, but for a special dining experience try the 10 course meal- amazing. Helpful friendly staff. Great location, our room looked over beautiful old cathedral. Jacuzzi tub perfect after day of sightseeing. Individual a/c for room- a luxury in European hotels, though not needed this time too much. Elevator / lift went out, but promptly fixed by next morning. Shower needed improvements. Towels are thin ask foe extras.

Modern contemporary hotel. Good facilities. Spa not ready at opening time (4pm); had to ask for Spa facilities to be switched on and more towels to be made available. Was not forewarned that car collection from parking had to be preordered. Had to wait for 30 mins in reception.
