The room was nice and clean, the bed very comfortable and a spacious modern bathroom complete with Luxe toiletries.
The lobby area was under total refurbishment and was a building site for the duration of my stay. This meant that there was nowhere to sit comfortabley in the hotel. The lobby was covered in dust. Also, banging could be heard whilst trying to enjoy breakfast - not very relaxed for first thing in the morning! There was no mention of this work when I made the booking, which is not acceptable. On the positive side, from what I could see of the work that was being carried out, once completed the refurbishment will look lovely!
lift was faulty
Fantastic hotel, everything was great, room was excellent. Comfortable and very clean, staff are very friendly. Highly recommended cant wait to visit again.
Very unprofessional staff, especially the hotel manager. We had some issues with the hotel reservation and the manager was unpolite and not very helpful. Moreover in one of the rooms the bed sheets were not changed from previous customers even though the room was been prepared and "cleaned". Its a pity because the hotel is in a very convenient position.
Location, comfortable beds, good shower
General noise level in rooms, entrance is a dump (work in progress, not mentioned on site), lifts did not work 2 out of 3 days of our stay.
Three nights for the price of 2. Brand new fittings in bedroom. Comfy bed, nice shower and lovely towels. All staff very friendly and helpful. Not far from the Paris highlights.
Refurbishment going on in foyer so did not have proper reception desk. Smells of paint and glue. Lift used as builders lift. There should have been a warning of the inconvenience.
We were put on 5th floor no lift working They did change us on request to first floor but drilling going on all the time It should have been on web that hotel was undergoing serious renovation No discount was given for all this discomfort
cleanliness modern nice bathroom
the elevator was broken
Nice staff, excellent location!
That the hotel was being renovated and no lift available, not too bad for us but I can imagine for older visitors this would have been a big pain!
The hotel location, the bed, and the bathroom
The hotel is being renovated !!! When I walked in the pathetic reception, I wondered why I paid SO MUCH MONEY for that. Lift was not working (because of the works), I had to walk 6 floors up every time to my TINY room. TERRIBLE VALUE for money!
Rooms were clean and recently redecorated to a high standard. It will be great once all the work has finished.
Major refurbishment meant no lift, poor reception area, poor breakfast area and pneumatic drills and sledge hammers at 8:15am. (Soundproof rooms couldn't stop the sound) For the price I expected less disruption. The staff battled through and the guests were expected to as well. They'd have done us all a favour by closing down for a couple of weeks.
Location and the cleaning staff
When I booked a room the following information was lacking Still making renovation with the discomfort and dust and noise which was a problem There elevator was under renovation and thus those with health problem suffered No internet till the next day The reception staff needs to be more helpful and less rude Above all I booked a classic room and the gave a very small room that does not fit two persons Even there is no place to put the luggage even one piece Also I specified that o need a room with 2 beds, but they declined to the request rudely I think the problem is that they that making renovation allows them to behave as if they are the only ones having nice looking hotel I think me and all my friends will bycotte them
Polite and helpfull staff, carrying the luggage to fifth floor Room was clean and nice with a good view, not to small, mini bar etc.. Very nice bathroom facilities! Big flatscreen that worked perfectly Hi speed Wifi (though it did not work the first day)
I was not told that the hotel was under construction when booking. I was not told (when booking) that the lift would be out of funktion - what if I had been an old woman who couldn't walk the stairs til fifth floor!? - or had a broken leg? Stairways was poor and not very clean. Would have been nice to have an english channel or two.. (In France they do voiceover on english movies!)
the elevator didn't work
Location, nice Staff, comfortable bed
Noise, as well as street noise this hotels neighbor was playing loud music until 3am which was clearly audible through the wall.
THE LOCATION WAS VERY GOOD. A 15 MINUTE WALK TO THE NOTRA DAME AND TO THE RIVER SEINE. CLOSE TO SHOPS, RESTAURANTS AND METRO STATION A STONES THROW AWAY.
The room was small but worst still the furniture took up the whole room. There was the large bed and a small table in one corner but worst still there was a large high back chair squeezed under this small table. It was difficult to pull the chair out as it was tightly squeezed under the table. It was difficult to use the table with this very large chair that could not be pulled out and if it was there was no room for it. In one corner there were a few cups and a kettle that one would have to be a magician to get to and at the bottom of this table was a fridge that we found on day 3 because it was so well hidden. The bathroom was like a small cupboard with not an inch to put something in there. We had to turn sideways to get into the shower.(no we are not fat). There was only room to open 1 suitcase and the other one had to stay shut. We asked for a bigger room but we were told we were in the deluxe room and we had to pay 40E extra for something bigger but we felt it had already cost enough so we gave that idea up. There were also renovations going on in the hotel which created a smell. I would give this one a miss unless you think the location is worth it and remember the staff were lovely and helpful.
Very good location, near central area of Paris. Big and comfort bed with clean bathroom. Facilities are new and modern.
Location was excellent and the room was cleaned.
They are on renovation. The entry of the Hotel is dusty, smelling and not very comfortable, as well all the floors in the building. I think this explaines the cheap price that we've paid. Bed- and bathroom is very very small.
Clean modern room with fairly good noise isolation
- Extremely bad wifi, impossible to use, both in the evening as in the morning - Noise due to works in the hotel ... breakfast had to be taken in a poorly lit basement with a lot of noise - No curtain in the shower ... water all over the place
location and near many places for food
Location just around the corner from Metro Strasbourg St. Denis station. The rooms are all new and they are reconstructing the reception areas so the management is spending money and things can only get better. Restaurants and bars everywhere nearby. Le Central across the street is a great place for coffee, breakfast and happy hour.
I don't like to complain but the WiFi was not so great. They gave me three connections but some of them did not always work. I was not there to do work so not an issue. I was in room 13 overlooking Sebastopol so nice view. Room was small but typical European standard so if anyone doesn't like European standard, stay home if you are from the usa and go to the Holiday Inn down the interstate.
Location was good, close to metro stations and plenty of restaurants around
Very very small rooms, Internet was not reliable
Location to my work place
Hotel under renew which is too noisy
The attention of hotel staff, specifically, the receptionist Amir. A very gently person.
The small size of the room. We stayed in the last floor (6st) that is smaller than the others floors, and the rooms of this floor are smaller too. In our room didn't have a coffee machine that exists in others rooms.
