Reception staff very friendly We had a terrible start of the day over breakfast. The lady at charge was unfriendly, unpolite and rude. She did not keep up with the breakfast buffee either. Just a very worst experience. However the manager when told removed the cost of the breakfast from the bill and promised to speak with the lady. It was obviously not the first time of complaints. |

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is located in a great place with easy access to the main attractions of the city and to the train station. It would have been nice if there were easier room service facilities for times other than breakfast. |

The location, exterior, reception areas and staff were excellent Situated at the end of a pedestrian area and on a one way traffic route afterm a number of attempts to gain street acess we had to eventualy abandon our vehicle and walk to book in. An experience not for the feint hearted, that caused stress and could easily have been avoided. This lovely old building is in need of some tlc there is great potential for a first rate hotel, the reception area is clean and well presented but our room was uninviting dull and drab, with dated decor dingy paintwork and windows. Our view was of a dirty unkempt yard. Wake up bw we travel extensively and know you can do things so much better than this. |

Restaurant service was first class. We were made to feel very comfortable and everything was served precidsely as we asked for it. We would highly recommend the restaurant. On arrival the room we were allocated was much below par, however to their credit, the staff reacted very positively and gave us an upgrade to a very good room. Anyone can get it wrong, but being able to create a positive outcome is a mark of the professionalism shown throughout Hotel Continental. Well done! |

Staff were very friendly and the bathroom was quite pleasant. A very good central location in downtown Pau. The decor of my room (345) was very tired and old-fashioned. There were not enough power sockets in the room (for example, there was no power socket near the desk, which made using my laptop in the evening very difficult). |

Welcoming staff, promptly offered to change us to a different room, because the one offered to still had a fresh paint smell. No air conditioned in a hot day.... |

We were given an absolutely huge oval shaped room, a reminder of the days when the hotel must have been very splendid indeed. The car oark was difficult to gain access to. |

We got an amazing round tower room which was an excellent kick-off to out holiday. Phantastic! I understand that not all of the rooms have been renovated, so I guess we were very lucky. |

Good price. Helpful staff. Free breakfast as it was the weekend! Night staff/man not so friendly and efficient - came down to reception at 7am to blaring tv on with some film on and could hardly hear myself think.... |

All as you would expect, no negative surprises. A typical comfy older style french hotel right in the centre of town and in easy walking distance of everything. You won't need to rent a car if staying here. Stayed here before and will always be choice number 1 when we return. |

The professionalism, kindness, helpfulness and interest shown by your receptionists. Our short visit was made enjoyable due to the consideration of the staff especially in arranging for taxis and transportation on a daily basis. I was very disappointed with the main course served at diner on the Friday evening. Apart from the limited choice on the menu the fish did not appear to be very fresh and the vegetables were over cooked. This was sad considering my previous experience at the Best Western in Chartres where the food was excellent. |
