View over river from room. Small balcony. Central situation. Quiet (apart from the ducks!). Afternoon sun. Excellent shutters. View from roof. Room cleaned very quickly after we went out in morning so ok to return mid day. Good room size. Modern reasonable size tv. Helpful reception staff. Excellent shower. Smell of drains in our first room, but we were immediately offered the room next door when we mentioned it. Cnn channel was listed on tv, but not available (our French is not good enough to understand FrenchTV!). WiFi reception was very weak in our room so we could not listen to bbc radio via internet. It was just about ok for other purposes. No experienced head waiter. Inexperienced waiters and not enough of them. Service became very slow after the first half hour in the evening.

Well situated with spectacular riverside location, well priced basic evening menu, large comfortable rooms(upgraded to river view on arrival). Rooftop pool was a great bonus. Secure parking available- useful in a very crowded town.

We booked a room with a river outlook, which was stunning. Also there was a local food market set up on the Saturday morning just across the road from hotel - a great way to start the day.

The little town is charming. We had a very good meal at the restaurant, and it was reasonably priced. The river was at first a turn-off, due to the stuff growing in it, but I had come to like it (little white flowers on top) by the time we left. The staff was friendly and accomodating. Only some rooms have air conditioning. Our room was at the end of the hallway, and the WiFi signal was very weak, and sometimes even disappeared. (The inconvenience was worsened by a difficult procedure to logon again once the signal returned -- had to reboot the computer several times.) And our shower was the old-fashioned kind -- not attached high on the wall.

Beautiful view to the river Vezère, wonderful balcony overlooking the river if you have a room on the river side. Terrace where you can sit and have drinks or maybe even eat in the summer overlooking the river. A lot went wrong during our visit of only one night! We had asked, as we always do for a room with a bath tub but they are refusbishing the hotel and taking all the bath tubs out which is not a good idea if you ask me as one can shower in a bath tub but can't bathe in a shower! Anyway, they should have told us that they didn't have one. We asked for a doubble bed and got twin beds. We decided to eat in their restaurant after reading the menu and seeing they had a garlic soup typical of that region but when we ordered they didn't have it. As we were getting quite irritated the chef ended up making a soup just for me and the waiter said that it was offered by the chef together with half of the very expensive foi gras but as I had chosen a menu and couldn't eat the dessert after all that food ended up paying exactly the same amount of money so nothing was offered in the end. We asked for an explanation but didn't get one so decided to leave it that way. They are finishing refurbishing the hotel and things are clearly not working properly. The rooms are very old-fashioned and not comfortable at all! If you have a room on the street side be aware of the traffic.

It was very pleasant sitting outside after dinner and chatting, and the pool was very nice. We had a side room which was very noisy from the traffic, and we thought our room really needed updating as the bedlinen and curtains were very old-fashioned and the bedside lights were awful!

It was located right in the middle of the pretty village of La Bugue, overlooking the river. The rooftop swimming pool had a wonderful view over the surrounding countryside. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Though my room was streetside I wasn't bothered by traffic or other noise.

The staff were very nice The room was not properly cleaned. The ash tray and cigarette stubs of the previous people stayed on the balcony throughout our stay. Mostly the cleaning women just talked

The location was excellent. The rooms were ideal for the family and decorated very tastefully. The shower was impressive as was the roof pool. The food was too expensive especially breakfast.

The location was superb. I booked a river view room which was very spacious and comfortable and the view from the balcony window was lovely. There was no traffic noise as the window was double glazed and the electrically controlled blinds were a nice touch. The shower over the bath is hand held as there is no wall attachment. Makes hair washing a tad difficult! As it was my partner's birthday I booked a meal in the hotel restaurant. My partner was very pleased with his meal but my steak was inedible. I expected the chef to offer his apologies but nothing happened. On paying the bill the following morning we mentioned it to the receptionist but she just said she would speak to the chef when she saw him! So - we found the customer service greatly lacking, which is a shame because it spoiled our celebration evening, otherwise everything else about the hotel is very good.

The staff were very friendly. The staff in the restaurant were great. The situation is very good. Bedroom a good size. Fridge very useful. Towels were poor. Just a couple of soaps in the bathroom. The 'double' bed consisted of two single mattresses. The restaurant was closed for two days which included the bar and no drinks even coffee available. The staff were apologetic as it was the beginning of the season. It would have therefore useful to have tea/coffee facilities in bedroom. Only german TV available and again this was being addressed and waiting for mechanic.
