The location is great, right in the heart of La Cite. The staff were all very nice and accommadating. The breakfast was excellent. The only problem with staying at this hotel is that one cannot drive directly there between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm. If one arrives early and wants to keep the car in the locked facility, it means a shuttle trip in with the bags, and then another trip driving the car back in. The hotel does the best of what can be done with the limitaion of the prohibition of cars on the streets in the daytime, which by the way, I think is a good idea.

The interior of this hotel is outstanding. How lovley to see the use of natural stone and wood. We loved the whole feel of the hotel and to centred bang in the middle of La Cite was fantastic. To be able to drive through the streets to the hotel car park - we felt so privileged. Thank you so much for the whole experience!

The position in the old city was perfect - we could walk around and see everything very easily. The hotel staff handled the vehicle for us and took it to a secure parking area.

Location We were not able to get a double bed. Didn't notice that it was a room with 2 single beds, which is important when you are booking a room.. Don't you think? We were dissapointed that we didn't notice this when we booked!!

Location - right in the middle of the old city giving easy access to the historical sites, shops and many restaurants. Can't park near hotel during the day and the hotel taxi/porter service is a little haphazard.

The hotel is in a fantastic location and the cite is excellent to spend a few days seeing the sites, shopping and dining out. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel and rooms were very clean throughout. Can be a bit noisy at the front of the hotel in the early morning.

Very courteous reception. Also very glad of the service between parking and the hotel, which was very prompt. I had a fairly quiet room which was great. I liked everything, BUT two instances with the receptionists: One young girl recommended a restaurant to me and did not tell me that it would not open until 7:00 p.m. which did make sense to me. I walked around having a hard time finding it and was told to come back in 45 min. Of course I did not, she really should have thought to mention that as it was a very windy day to be strolling around looking for a spot in a medieval city with twists and turns. On check out I asked about the location of the open air market in the lower town. The girl did not give me an address or show me on a map, but just said take the main road to the town since it is small and you will find it. WELL, of course I did not and drove around for 25 min and just left. She should have given me a direction or address that Garmin my GPS could have used since I was just left out from doing that on my trip, especailly with all the one way roads around Le Cite.

We were a party of 3 and wasnt able to book just one room, so we booked 2 standard rooms, our rooms were ready at 3pm, and we were upgraded to two of the garden suites! They were stunning, and situated in the back of the garden, which was quiet. These rooms had a double bed, and a double fold out couch. The bathrooms had a huge shower and a bath. Overall the hotel was superb. Loved the interior of the hotel using original features. We dined at the hotel restaurant, just next door. The prices were really reasonably for quite large portions. It was quite touristy though, felt like I was in England! But the staff there were lovely, and the local dishes were amazing. You cant approach the hotel door because of the location inside the medieval cite. So the taxis drop you at the main gate, and you wander through the streets to the hotel, this was fine for us with only hand luggage, but we noticed other guests struggled with larger suitcases, negotiating the cobbled paving and crowds of tourists. Im sure the hotel would organise a porter if arranged prior.

Stayed in the old part of the hotel which wes extremely nice & quiet. Staff very helpful & spoke very good english .. a bonus. Very good restaurants nearby. didn,t have breakfast in hotel so can,t comment. Difficult to find the way into the castle, with our car, but a call to the hotel sorted that out easliy. All in all a good experience.

Being inside the walls of the Cité is exceptional, and was the reason we chose this hotel. The lady in the breakfast room was very friendly, and gave tips about markets and places to shop. Front desk staff was mixed-- less than helpful day staff was replaced with a young woman whose dinner suggestion was spot on! Most hotels have generally the same menu; try the Adelaide for a tasty version, at a good price, beautiful location and fun staff. Location was a negative as well as a positive: voices and sounds echo in the old streets, so it was very loud. The windows block out a lot of noise, but in high season the restaurant right outside our window would be an issue. Not to mention the early garbage truck! Perhaps a request for a back room would help.

Excellent hotel in the medieval city. Very friendly and helpful staff. We left some clothes in our room. The manager contacted us after we had left and delivered them to another hotel in Carcassonne where we were staying for the last night. Very typical French rooms - very clean and functional - we were upgraded free of charge as we arrived at 10am and our intended room wasn't ready - so we got a room straight away. The medieval city was quiet (January) but there were afew restaurants/bars open. We ate in the hotel bistrot reataurant. The food was excellent with great service.

The location was fantastic the staff were very friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed the food in the restaurant and on Sunday night the receptionist was very helpful and guided us to (another restaurant that was open) where the food was excellent. The room was good but we were too hot during the night and could not get it cooler (we did switch of radiator) but otherwise the room was clean and comfortable. I have recommended it to my family as it is well worth a visit and the staff made the stay even more enjoyable. We were on a visit to buy a property in France and travelled on the trains and taxis which was very interesting and again the french people were exceptionally helpful. Thanks for an enjoyable break.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and professional. Breakfast was exceptional value and it's location is very central and a great base. The grounds very relaxing and whole hotel very clean. They looked after our bags when we were early and left late- no problems, sent our mail and organized breakfast when we arrived earlier than expected. The bath is super deep and relaxing after walking around all day and my wife really appreciated the separate WC in the room! The breakfast staff were also especially friendly and obliging. Everyone contributed to a special experience. The only thing I found uncomfortable was the heating- it was a little too warm for me especially with the very warm quilts and even after turning down the heaters but that's just me.
