Situated just 165 ft from the historic town of Carcassone in the Aude region, Aragon is a charming hotel. It is the ideal place for exploring the Cathar Country.

Being in the middle of the citadelle Breakfeast was great
The reception is not is the same building as the bedroom Difficulties to fing the entry of the citadelle by car
Distance to carpark
Located within the city walls...very convenient. Helpful staff. Beautiful hotel with comfortable beds and well appointed rooms. Great breakfast. Would definitely stay again...first class hotel in all areas.
Nothing to dislike.
+Location +Price +Privacy +Transported from the car park to the inside of the castle via a small buggy was amazing.
Location and cleanliness of the hotel.
Hotel bar was never attended and staff in dining room were not attentive to the needs of the clients. We had to approach them each time.
Nothing - it was all fabulous!
This is probably the best Best Western you will ever stay at. Very up market in a fantastic location. Room was very smart and all the staff very friendly.
The only thing I could find to grumble about was the facial tissues are like Kitchen Towels. Other than that, everything was first class.
Great location in the heart of the Gothic city and fairly priced.
The bed was not comfortable and facilities could use a bit of an update.
Locatio, location, location...
location fab room in the courtyard staff were lovely
very friendly staff, excellent location, very clean, excellent breakfast
we had a room on front of building and the bins are emptied very early in the morning and wake you up !
Right inside the city walls. Quiet garden if you felt like relaxing. Great historic atmosphere. Car park outside city walls with little van to take you and luggage to hotel works well.
The hotel is in the old city, fantastic to walk out of the door and be able to explore. Breakfast very good value, plenty of choice. Superb wine bar - Vinotheque - opposite hotel, very knowledgeable, friendly staff, the waiter remembered our favourite wine after we'd only visited once. Reception staff at hotel very friendly and the shuttle to and from the car park is an added bonus, it saves lugging suitcases through the streets. Would recommend 'Le Trouvere' for the cassoulet - the tastiest we ate while there.
The shuttle service and friendly staff. Our garden room was very quiet and comfortable
Everything. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Site is incredible. Shuttle from parking area to hotel. Enjoying monument after most of the tourists are gone
We loved the tranquillity of the hotel especially as our room was outside in the garden and had its own private patio area in which to relax and enjoy the shade on a hot day.pThe room was most spacious and comfortable and all the staff were most helpful too, taking photos for us,recommending restaurants and advising about onward travel to the airport. A really lovely stay in this amazing historical town.
Nothing we didn't like.
location, comfort, good breakfast
check-in at 15:30 is too late. And with the check-out at 12:00 h, your daily is only 21:30 hs
In the middle of the mediaeval city the hotel has one of he best situations. Close to everything you can take advantage of the Cité when in the evening the day-tourists have left. The garden where breakfast is served is a lovely place. The staff is ok, the bed very comfortable, the room was very large.
The building where we were had no lift. They brought our luggage up to the second floor and offered to take it down when leaving. But two floors are also high without luggage.
Carcassonne can be very busy with tourists so a calm oasis to return to is prefect. Staff and facilities are all wonderful.
The French don't seem to mind about dogs in restaurants and hotels. Having two small dogs in the next-door garden room which were keen to defend their owners by barking and baring their teeth was quite unwelcome. Beware!
Able to escape the crowds by spending time in the secluded garden area of the hotel
Location Location Location, friendly staff adequate room size, good wifi
Would skip breakfast next time was only only ok
We loved living within the walls of Carcassonne, having breakfast in the beautiful garden, and walking on cobblestone paths to nearby cafes.... Seeing the city lit up at night was spectacular. This hotel is the perfect venue for all of this.
Lovely bldg. staff very helpful
Bit difficult to find. Didn't realize there's a car park outside wall for guests and they deliver you inside with electric truck. Fun tho
Staying within the walled city was amazing! We definitely absorbed more of the experience seeing it in the day and night. The breakfast was great and the staff always bringing out more items. They were very efficient. We came by car and followed the Hotel Parking signs and parked the car in the free parking area. Within 20 minutes, the mini shuttle came to whisk us into the city. Overall, we had a great experience here and would highly recommend it!
We were located in the Ramparts, looking out onto the Main Street, so naturally there was some noise until late in the evening. Then in the morning, the delivery trucks come early before the shops open and the scores of people come. If you are a light sleepers, ear plugs are a must.
