The friendly staff
Food quality was good Staff are very helpfull
The breakfast area was too small and Claustrophobic Lifts are too small
The rooms were too small for a 4 star property and am surprised how this got a 4 star rating as it is more comparable to a 1 star property like IBIS. The lift is tiny and in the morning, it is a torture where you have the room cleaning staff occupying it almost all the time. The room is made up after 4 PM as they are busy cleaning the check out rooms. Unless you are desperate, it is better to look at other properties and for the price I paid, I expect much better facilities.
good location - you can walk to almost everything. Lots of good restaurants in the neighborhood, and close to the Metro station. We took the Train in from Germany, hopped on the Metro and got right to the hotel. Nice little courtyard to sip wine and we were the only ones out there most of the time.
very small rooms and bathrooms. WiFi didn't work well
Excellent helpful and friendly staff Position is excellent close to many restaurants, buses, underground, and a small supermarket just around the corner.
No fridge, smallest lift in the world Two people and two suitcases did the job though
Friendly staff good location
We enjoyed our stay. Close to Eiffel tower. Older building but in safe area of town. Friendly helpful staff. Daily buffet breakfast. Close to bus, metro and trains. Has a charming atmosphere and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
Very small rooms. This is typical in Europe. One lift which barely held two people. Not really noisy but you could hear slamming doors and next door television.
The smell was unbearable! The elevator smelled of smoke and the towels and bedsheets smelled as if they hadn't been washed in years.
The staff was wonderful. Always helpful and courteous. Their breakfast was very good. Liked the "smaller" hotel feel. Room was very clean and bathroom very functional...good lighting too. Room was a bit small but that was expected in Europe. There were 2 luggage racks so suitcases were off the floor. We could walk everywhere that we wanted and the REM was handy for longer treks.
Decor was old, it's not 4 star more like 3 star. Room service was shocking, 1.5 hrs to get food which someone had obviously went out and bought from a supermarket evident by the packaging. Rooms were cleaned very late in the afternoon, couldn't understand why as there were only 5 rooms per floor. Concierge was not helpful in recommending restaurants, when asked where to go for good snails he told us to go anywhere.
Staff very helpful and polite. Clean, tidy, safe and adequate hotel. The location is very important.
I wish there was a refrigerator in my room.
Location & service
Out of season we thought we'd get a great room with a view. The room was very small- we thought a triple superior would give us a more spacious room as a photo we saw had three double beds not one double and a pullout.
The staff responded to my email about check-in promptly and politely. I felt welcome before I had even arrived. On arrival we discovered we had been upgraded, so we had a larger bed and a room with a balcony which was lovely. The staff continued to be very helpful during our stay. The location is excellent - very close to the Eiffel Tower (easy walking distance) and just a couple of minutes walk from the Metro. The room was clean, quiet and air-conditioned.
We didn't eat breakfast there as the charge per head was 15.50 euros - I can't imagine eating enough at breakfast to warrant that price. Only one bottle of water was provided for a room booked for two (this could easily have been an oversight however).
All the staff at this hotel; everyone from the reception desk to housekeeping were superb. Their efforts made in every way to make our stay there was excellent!
The overall appearance and facility is a bit outdated. Our toilet did not flush well, and they couldn't get a plumber during our stay.
We stayed only 3 days so this hotel was a perfect choice for us, all attractions you can go by walk from the hotel, especially for short stays here is the place, metro station is very close to the hotel so you can come to the city center from cdg by roisy bus and than you can come to the hotel by metro, the staffs was very helpful, our room window looking to the backside so we didnt love it, but anyway we didnt have any time in room so much, to look outside, and the last think for all sightseeing tour stations close to the hotel this was a good plus for us so we just use the metro come and go to the airport.
Location, location, location
Very small and outdated room given the price
Location great, very near Invalides, RER, short walk to river, 15 mins from Eiffel Tower (can see it from end of road), good few cafes etc. This location is what you are paying for, plus the lovely staff. It is worth the money to be so central but also quiet. Room very quiet, we had room at the back, 4th floor. Staff lovely, perfect English, nice info and map on arrival. Shower powerful, water very warm. Room clean enough, cleaned every day. Air con very comfy, slept SO well. Mattress GREAT.
Carpet and walls and pics and furniture quite shabby, was clean but felt a teeny bit dingy. Not enough milk in drinks tray (I'm British you know!) Room smelt a little of BO when we went in but that disappeared. Room (45) very small and a little pokey. Had to move a table to have one near each twin bed. Shower curtains flap around in shower. No curtain/blinds on bathroom window, just frosted, lots of widows opposite, not v private. Breakfast expensive at 15 Euros. Better options down road in the cafe, or the yummy crepe stand near Invalides on Sunday morning.
Location was great close to metro for all attractions. Walking distance from the Eiffel Tower. Friendly staff always helpful and will give you directions around the area. Facilities are good in the room and you can request iron, etc.
Cleaners may clean room late afternoon, early evening and isn't great if you're planning to get ready to go out on the evening. Not a big problem though and I'm sure you could request to change your towels earlier if you plan in advance. This happen on our last evening.
Staff very accomodating. Location excellent.
The staff was excellent and always friendly and location was very good. High marks to Gillie for going the extra mile. Room service was good and hotel was clean
Room was tiny as was the bath room. Three people in a "Superior triple" was very tight and the beds were small. The bathroom door handle was broken and tough to close.
Location is great, staff helpful.
Beds could be softer.
Room and location
Breakfast area looked poor
Location. Staff. Cleanliness.
A/C not able to cool room down, either underpowered or out of gas. Shower hose head leaked badly. Water from shower would fill tub as drain couldn't take it away quick enough causing a slip hazard. All the screws holding the shower furniture are lose and need tightening. Not enough storage space or shelving etc for a family of four to unpack, had to leave most things in bags.
This is the fourth time we have used Best Western Touf Eiffel Invalides as it is ideally located near the Tour Maubourg metro station and also within walking distance of the Bateaux Parisiens at the Pont de l'Alma where we always take the evening dinner cruise. It is also near to a couple of very reasonable restaurants where we have lunch.
