Good sized very well equipped rooms friendly helpful staff

The staff is excellent, from receptionist to chambre maids, they are always smiling and you can tell they like their work as a team. We had an apartment, where we could cook and lounge about. The free WiFi is very handy if you want to work or play during your stay. We had two laptops and an iPad running at one time, so the kids were not lost from their social media. The little park around back was most appreciated by the dog. The hotel is in the centre, 200 metres walk from all, shops and a great cinema (Le Royal) with different movies every day in Original Version! Plus all the shops, 5 minutes walk to the beach. This hotel really is excellent. Go for it!

We've been coming for a couple of years now, and the dish washer is getting a bit old. Also the electric cooker is a bit limited. But hey... We paid only 500 euros for a week with four persons and a dog, and in most other hotels you don't even get a kitchen!

Nice size rooms, clean, nice view when staying on the garden side, quiet, easy parking. Would definitely stay there again.

When we arrived we were informed by the receptionist that breakfast was included in our room rate. I queried this as I did not ask for breakfast to be included but was reassured that it was included. During our weeks stay we had breakfast 1 morning for 3 people. When we went to checkout the receptionist tried to charge us for breakfast on 3 different morning. I explained the information provided at check in by the other staff member but was informed that it was an error on the girls behalf.we refused to pay and the receptionist was very rude and proceded to laugh at us as If there was something funny??why should we be at additional expense after paying 718 fOr a weeks stay.she proceeded to take an additional 30 euro from my visa card of which 12 related to parking for 1 night and she explained the balance related to tax?when I analysed the invoice it turned out we had been charged 18 euro for breakfast. I will be writing to the hotel to request this money be refunded. After a pleasant stay a very sour taste was left after having to deal with such an ignorant member of staff. Also just to note that for breakfast we had 3 crossaints and 3 orange juice. I would just like to add that we found the other staff members and room cleaners very pleasant

Do not believe it represents value for money. The rooms weren't air conditioned. There were two front reception staff while we were there - one was not helpful in handling complaint/quite eager to remind us of check out time. The other was pleasant. Unfortunately, I can't remember the names. We originally booked for three nights - but after contacting Booking.Com on phone (extremely helpful and very prompt at handling complaint - well done!) we amended our stay to two.

Choose only rooms with garden view, in other way the noise of the street will not allow you to sleep. The room was very spacefull and hotel staff cleaned it every day. There is no air condition, but there is really no need for it in Biarritz. We could very east get to the beach (5 min walk). market, and shops and at the same time it is not the tourists' preferred street.

you should be ready that if you come after 20:00 there will nobody at the reception and you will have to call to get the code to open the door. There is everything you need in the kitchen but all these things are very old and not always work properly.

Would prefer to be a bit closer to beach

The location was excellent. Not far from the beach (10 min walking distance), close to the center and the markets but still quite at night. , Sevices are great and the staff is always ready to help. This is perfect for summer time vacations and allows to spend wonderfull time in Biarritz and the surroundings

The appartment is clean, comfortable but a bit small for 4 adults (fortunately we were 1 adukt and 1 teenager). It is perfect when the weather is great and you don't have to stay all day long in the appartment. The price is a bit expensive for the surface of the flat but otherwise it allows to spend wonderful time in Biarritz,.....

This apart/hotel is very central (3 mins to town and 5 mins to beach - walking). If you use the hotel carpark, (euro 12 a day), which is probably cheaper than using public carpark. (Make sure you book a space when you book because there are not many spaces.) The apartments are 1 x sofa bed, 1 double or 2 x single beds in bedroom) and 2 bunkbeds in the hallway, which are separated by a curtain. Ideal for young children, but not adults. The garden apartments are quieter than the road ones, and have a nice view of people walking their dogs. We would stay again at the Residence.

It is noisy at night, but if you close your windows and shutters it isnt so bad. Being so central you are bound to get noise. Bairritz has got so expensive in the last few years. A beer is about euro 5 to 8. a pizza is about euro 12. Having said that, there is a supermarket near, so you can buy your goods and spend the days on the wonderful beaches.

On arrival our allocated room had an awful smell in it - we complained to reception and their response was brilliant. A lady called Sabine or maybe Sabrina who seemed to be the head of housekeeping immediately sprang to action, asked us to sit in reception,visited the room and took decisive action to rectify the problem - which turned out to be the drain on the dishwasher. We were asked to leave our bags and take a stroll into town(200yds) on our return about an hour later the smell was gone. This was good but what really impressed us was that this very pleasant lady kept coming back to us during our stay to see we were alright - because of this lady we will return here - good service should be recognised and rewarded.

Our only slight niggle would be that the cook top with just 2 electric burners was too small to fit the supplied fry pans on and the workspace was very restricted. This did not spoil our stay and unless asked I would not really have commented.
