Location of the hotel is excellent - really close to big metro station (Republique) with connections to all major city points. It is also close (15 min walk) to the lovely Marais area, with pretty little streets full of restaurants and bars and being a great place for a late relaxed diner. Georges Pompidou or Louvre are within 20 min walk, which is great. Room we stayed in was rather basic yet spacious, towels changed everyday, etc.Hotel staff spoke English and 24 hr reception was a plus. Price we payed (71 euro per night) was slightly higher than we would expect for this standard, but again, Paris tends to be expensive. Although room was clean and spacious, it was definitely too basic considering the asking price. There was no table and chairs in the room, and also no proper wardrobe (only few hangers on the wall). Spending few euro on a cheap set of chairs, electric kettle and hairdryer would improve comfort of staying in this hotel immensely. There was no shampoo/shower gel toiletries provided, only little bars of soap. One night and the following morning there was no hot water, but the problem was fixed later on. Hotel cleaning service was ok (towels changed, bed made etc) however, would be good if the carpet was vacuumed at least once during one week stay... After our trip I discovered that the hotel verified my credit card prior to arrival and charged me 1 euro, which to my knowledge was not refunded (I know - little money, but made me feel weird, never happened to me before). 24 hr reception was great, however one night when we came to the hotel after late diner and few drinks (around midnight I would say), the door to the hotel was open and there was nobody at the reception desk. We waited for a moment for someone to appear and then just took the key to our room from the reception desk and went to sleep. We did not think that it was particularly safe as anybody coming from the street could do the same. However, there was only one incident like this - otherwise door to the hotel were closed at night and you had to wait for someone to open them. About location: although South-side of our hotel was really lovely (Marais, Republique etc), I would not recommend going North-side, especially in the evening. It was slightly dodgy and did not feel particularly safe for two young women. To sum it all up: it is a good hotel for one or two nights stay, otherwise try to find something less basic, even if slightly more distant location.

Budget-friendly hotel, which is nice finding for central district of Paris. Very small rooms with basic comfort and facilities, but it is acceptable if you are not going to spend much time at the hotel. Good location and easy accessible by Metro: #5 line station is just at the front of the hotel, Republique and Gare de L'est big metro stations are also located in 5-7 minutes walking distance. Yes, and staff was very helpful, friendly and polite. No lift/elevator at the hotel (However I was happy as staff gave me the room at the 1st floor, thanks them for this). Small size room and very small, uncomfortable shower, no shampoo.

Good location, warm room The receptionist gave me wrong key, even though I double check with him. I use wrong key to open my door, it can work. Next day when I check out, the receptionist told he gave me wrong key but shift the responsibility to me. It is no more important but he need to apology for his mistake.

Close to the metro, close to all the sights. The shower was small and the shower head was not attached to the wall. It meant that I had to hold the shower with one hand while trying to wash my hair with the other. When I asked the staff about the possibility of fixing it they said that no one else was bothered by it. The room was on the fourth floor with no lift, so don´t book it if you are not prepared to walk up 4 flights of stairs everytime.

The location is great! It is just in front of a metro station! The room was big enough for 3 persons and the area is quite nice... you'll find anything that you'll need! Pharmacies, bakery, stationary, groceries etc :) The only drawback was the stairs! There was no lift and we were on the 4th floor! But the staff was very helpful with our luggages!

Clean, secure 24 hour reception. Can't even imagine getting up those stairs, we were on the 2nd floor. Would recommend a bakery over the breakfast for 7 euro.

Compared to prices of other hotels in Paris this was reasonably priced - Wifi worked very well. Staff was friendly and allowed us to check in at noon instead of 14:00 hrs as the room was already available. The hotel is located a few metres away from the metro Jacques Bonsergant so this was great. The area is not the nicest but it suited our needs as we only needed to sleep there. There is no lift, so if one has difficulties going up the stairs staying at this hotel will be a problem if you are in room 9 on the 4th or 5th floor. The shower cubicle was fine for me but if you are on the bigger size you will not fit.

Easy to find. Simple, fresh, clean, fair price. Air condition was missing. So you need to keep the windows open to be able to sleep in the summer heat. Very much noice from the traffic outside.

The hotel is superbly located, bang in the centre of Paris, and there's a real buzz around it at any time of day or night. I had a fabulous view over the Bvd. de Magenta, a real treat to look forward to every time I dashed back to the hotel. Good mirrors! The shower was slightly broken and the room got hot quickly, but I was out for most of the day and so I'd say it met all of my needs perfectly.

The hotel staff was amazing, they were very kind and helpful. The room was cleaned every day, furniture is fairly new and the room is spacious. WiFi internet worked great. The location is excellent as the metro stop Jacques Bonsergent is just outside the hotel. Staying there was a great experience and I highly recommend this hotel.

Friendly staff, cleaning was good, great view, location ideal, close to metro, safe area. It was me and my man who were there for a romantic four-night vacation to experience Paris. Became first a little disappointed with the room when it was small, but with the great wiev we had (we stayed at the top) and 50 meters to the Metro, which made it easy for us to reach all the tourist attractions, made it worth. We had a nice holiday and I can recommend this hotel if you want to live in the center for a cheap price. No elevator and 110 steps to the top, the bed was quite hard, everything was quite small.
