This Brit Hotel is located in the center of Saintes, between Cognac and Rochefort. It offers soundproofed rooms with a private balcony, free Wi-Fi internet access and satellite TV. It's a centrally located hotel, with excellent parking around thne hotel, and only a very short walk to the centre of Saintes. Staff are helpful, but don't speak English - but I see that as a failing of mine rather than theirs! If you want a cheap place to get your head down in relative comfort, this place is excellent. Rooms appear a bit 'tired', and the shower/bathroom isn't the cleanest i've seen, but I'm being picky here.

Stayed 1 night, 5 minutes to bars and restaurants. Room very good even had a kettle and tea & coffee. Bbc world service on tv, only 1 in France? Saintes has Roman ruins including an ampitheatre, pleasant town. Very limited garage parking but public parking nearby.

The staff trted to be helpful. This is not a complaint, but an observation: Non-French speakers should be aware that the staff have even less knowledge of English than I have of French and that is very limited.

Il faisait très chaud dans la chambre malgré un ventilateur bienvenu. Une climatisation aurait été la bienvenue. C'est pour cela que j'ai mis moyen pour les équipements et le confort.

Le gérant est trés seviable et trés avenant. La chambre 105 est assez exigue et de plus trés, trés bruillante. Les canalisations d'eaux usées ne sont pas isolées contre le bruit.
