Service in the gourmet restaurant was extraordinarily slow and not attentive. Our dinner lasted almost 4,5 hours, which is quite unusual for any restaurant service that claims to have a gourmet/Michelin level class. We found this unacceptable and very rare for any restaurant in this class. The structure of 7 course menu was unbalanced: early part of the meal was rather light and the last few courses were surprisingly heavy. Service in the garden was non-existent. Unfortunately we cannot recommend this restaurant, based on our experience.

The bar with the fire was a real plus, and good decor and atmosphere but the drinks were expensive. Parking was good but expensive - 14 euros per day, and several of the bays were unavailable because people had parked very poorly. The bays near the entrance need to be redesigned! Good location for walking into Beaune. Staff friendly and helpful.

I would not change a thing

We went to Beaunne as a Burgundy side-trip from a holiday trip to Paris, and had a wonderful time. We scheduled a private wine trip with Stephanie at Aux Quatre Saisons, ate at your restaurant, enjoyed the local town of Beaune, and had the best time ever!

Everything! We were so happy with the location, quality of room, service of the staff. It was the best sleep we had during our 2 week stay in Europe. We'll definitely go back to Le Cedre if we visit Beaune again. It was a really lovely place to stay and we highly recommend it to everyone visiting Beaune.

Nice facilities and a very nice lounge / bar. The staff also spoke english very well and were very pleasant and helpful.

Just outside the centre of the city, but not by much - a close walk.

A lovely place to stay. The staff was excellent. Very helpful and professional. The grounds were a pleasant place to rest and relax after walking the city. The room was fine with plenty of room. The restaurant was most enjoyable. We had a great meal and perfect service. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

This hotel has a warm and friendly "face'. You feel happy before you walk in the front door. Nothing disappoints and the restaurant is superb without being overpriced.

This is the most disappointed hotel we stayed for our 2-week trip in Burgundy. The picture shown in the web does not reflect the truth. The hotel is old-fashioned, worn out, very 70's and dark. A definite over- priced. With 200 Euros a night, I expect a more decent hotel. It charges 14 Euros per night for parking which is not worthy at all. A ten-minutes walk to the city centre. It's not far from the city centre and yet after dinner, the road back is very dark and quiet.

The restaurant, the room and the service

The position is excellent and the garden terrace beautiful. Lovely bar area, the underground carpark is very convenient. The rooms are decent and the free WiFi is excellent. The restaurant is of a very high standard.

We felt the breakfast did not represent good value for money. In the (expensive and pretentious but excellent food) restaurant we waited for 45 minutes to place an aperitif order!
