Brilliant value for money as a stopover on the way to or from the ferry. Very comfortable bed, room spotlessly clean and an excellent shower. The blackout blind was very effective - we all had a very good night's sleep. Breakfast also excellent value and staff friendly and helpful. We've used this before and would certainly use it again.

Ideally located for the Cherbourg Car Ferry and if I were promoting this hotel I would make a big thing of this aspect more than others. The room had a single bed in addition to the double so was somewhat cramped; normally in an hotel, if there is a single and a double the room is larger than a room with just a double.

We spent the night in Cherborg beacuse we were boarding a ferry to England the next day. We wondered what the Hotel would be like, as we chose it more for a convenient budget priced Hotel, but found to our delight that it was cery clean, quiet, with excellent staff and all we needed for an over night stay. We would recommend this Hotel to anyone staying for the same reasons as ourselves.

I have used the Bonsai hotel in Cherbourg for years. It has always been good value for money but this time there has been a refurb of the rooms and mattresses and can only say that for the room and price and the comfort of the bed, resulting in a good nights, was excellent.

Hotel cute, small but pretty as its name. Staff friendly, helpful and prepared. New rooms, clean, tidy and sound isolation. Peripheral location but quiet, with ample parking. Hearty breakfast with fresh pastries. Value perezzo excellent

That was OK for one night but a longer stay would make a time to go slowly for child. The distance to centre is too long and the environment is not very nice - big industrial halls and no place to sit down for a while.

The very best bit was the value for money which was superb. We used it for one night having arrived on the afternoon ferry and we headed off the next morning ..the hotel was perfect for this purpose. It would also suit families as pairs of rooms share a common hallway so you almost feel as if you have a two bedroom set up. You get what you pay for ...its not luxury and you dont get much space but ..its superb value and does exactly what it says on the tin

Large room, 3 beds, separate toilet/shower and wash basin, quiet, good shower. Room door protected from outside by shared porch door. Week-end breakfast too late for morning ferry to the UK.
