Location Flat Access to facilities (metro; restaurants;...)
Flat was on 5 th floor. Building had no lift. Very exhausting when we needed tp take our luggages up: 2/ppl, 23kg each
Nothing at all
It was the worst experience ever. Starting from the piking up the keys from different location and the five levels building with no lift and narrow stairs! Added to that the old furniture and equipments as well. Nothing good to write about nothing!
Apartment was 5th floor without lift, very difficult with young children and luggage. Stairs is very narrow. Tv is very small.
They change the apartment location by just sending a email on the date before. Unlucky that we didnt check email and go directly to the previously booked apartment. We had used up loads of effort to locate the new one. We also need to wake up at 4:45am next day to catch up our booked train as we had moved to apartment far away from our orginial booking one. The whole process was just like playing "Amazing Grace" but NOT FUN and UNDER GREAT FRUSTRATION
I had booked an apartment in Montparnasse because we had a TGV to catch early the following morning. Our apartment was switched to one many suburbs away but I didn't realise this until too late. As a result if distance, peak hour traffic and roadworks we very nearly missed our train. Also it was necessary to travel to the Bridgestreet office to collect keys. Very stressful!
The apartment was clean and comfortable in very quiet street
picking up the keys at one address and apartment supposed to be in Montparnasse but we were accommodate in the different area which can be an issue if you are only for the weekend in Paris
No customer support after hours or weekends. Uncertain locations. Hot, stuffy, unclean, and unsafe.
Lot of space, good location near Metro
A little few equipment in the kitchen
Proper photos should be posted. Real apartment is totally different with photos on web page.
The location was the only thing good and that was after finding out they can move you to any apartment they want and they did. We booked for a different location to begin with.
First off when you book an apt it may not be the one you get. We had booked a certain area of Paris yet we were put in another area. They didn't care. Then when you get to the apartment you had to climb 5 flights of spiral stairs with luggage, no lift. No one helped when I called to tell them we had medical conditions that didn't allow us to climb 5 flights of stairs daily, they didn't care. They didn't care about the location either. They told me to read my fine print. Yet I also read the bold print to them which stated that if you had any problems to call since they wanted your stay to be pleasant and enjoyable, and they didn't care. You had to climb a flight of stairs every time to use the toilet, even though it was in the apartment. The walls were dinged up big time, tiles broken, no shower only a tub, only 1.5 rolls of toilet paper to last a week, no soap, no paper towels and an extremely dirty washing machine. You had to keep the window open to use the ac which didn't help. Floors were dirty. There was still stuff under the futon they called a bed. The drawers on the night stand were broken. The closet was also not functioning. Worst experience ever! They did nothing to help or make things any easier. This company doesn't care about repeat customers. Sad because they are all over the world.
Location was close to a metro - facilities were good and property was clean and presentable
The property was not the one that was booked - I understand that Bridgestreet have several properties and that accommodation may be in any of them - so this review is for a different property
My family had a very good time in this apartment!!
The apartment was in an excellent location. It was within walking distance of a couple of metro stops and also very near a hop on hop off bus stop. We found a Carrefour Market a few minutes’ walk away and ended up going there each day the last three days of the trip. We drove from Germany and we were able to park the car at a parking garage also a few minutes’ walk away. We saved a lot of money on this trip by eating breakfast and dinner at the apartment. We felt that the apartment was a good value for the money, especially when you consider the location. I would recommend this apartment for anyone who wants to spend a week or more in Paris but does not want to spend a lot of money on eating out. The apartment was clean, comfortable and the area the apartment was quiet.
The four flights of stairs but I was warned in advance so I really shouldn't even mention it but as a heads up to others I thought that I should. A few minor things were that the instructions listed a Wireless Network but it had a slightly different name and the instructions said drop the key in the box by the entry door but the box that was installed had no hole in it. These are minor things and a quick phone call to customer service provided answers.
Very nice well-appointed apartment, with washing machine, kitchen facilities, TV, stereo. Really good location, close to Metro. Montparnasse is a very nice area of Paris.
The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was nice
There were SO many things NOT to like about the experience of staying in the apartment that I rented. For example, the web site states that "all apartments are serviced by a lift" Imagine my shock when I arrived (alone) at the bulding to find I had to climb three steep floors via a spiral stair case! I had a suitcase that weighed 28kgs!! The worst part of this experience was that the lighting was very poor. In fact, the light outside the door of the apartment I rented did not work and had not for some time because the button was broken from so many people trying to press it to get the light to work! Lucky I had a"flashlight app" on my phone because it was too dark to find the lock and where to put the key. In this day and age of wireless internet I was surprised to find such a complicated method to obtain wifi in this apartment. For instance, you have to locate the back of a TV box, remove a cable then, remove the cable from the wall turn off your computer, wait a period of time, then reconnect all of the cables via another means and your computer THEN if you are lucky... you have the internet. I was not so lucky because every time I undertook the instructions I was asked for a password to access the wifi and as I did not have a password I never managed to connect to the wifi. In the photographs and description for these apartments there are dining room tables and chairs. I did not have this in the apartment I rented. Also, one of the most annoying features was the toilet. Every 20 minutes the cistern / water tank refilled and in the quite of the night this is very annoying - just as annoying as the noise of the underground trains I suppose. When I was checking out I did not have a clue what I was suppose to do. The instructions you receive when you arrive tell you that "a note will be placed on your door the night before check out to tell you what to do with the key and not to put the key back in the safe".
