Brighton218 Rue de Rivoli, 01. Louvre - Châtelet, 75001 Paris (Show map) Very good, Score from 236 reviews“The Brighton was centrally located, between the Louvre and the Champs d'Elysses. Nearby a subway station and bus stops. We could walk to many sights. Our room was spacious and well-decorated. The staff fulfilled every request, and some were a bit different. This one on the the best European hotels I have visited.”

This19th-century building is in the heart of Paris, across from the Louvre and the Tuileries Gardens. This hotel is furnished with antique furniture, chandeliers, and artworks. Each air-conditioned room at the Brighton combines historic charm with modern comfort. All the rooms have a traditional Parisian decor, antique furniture and paintings. It features views of the courtyard or the Tuileries and a private bathroom and satellite TV. Hotel Brighton has a 24-hour front desk and a tour desk. There is an elevator, and Wi-Fi access is available throughout the hotel. Paris’s attractions are easily accessible by foot, but there is the Tuileries Metro Station just 165 ft from the hotel. Helpful front desk staff Too be honest, I didn't like the location (which is nothing to do with the hotel, but rather a poor choice on my behalf). Next time I will stay a little further off the tourist route and on a quieter street.

We stayed at the Brighton to celebrate our Ruby wedding anniversary and the hotel upgraded our room and also gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne and basket of fruit on the day of our anniversary, which was quite a surprise and very much appreciated. There was nothing we did not like about this hotel. The location was fabulous and the view from our bedroom was fantastic. The staff were very helpful, friendly and polite and we will definitely return in the future

Fantastic views from the window - Louvre, Tuileries Gardens, Musee d'Orsay, Invaliides, Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe all in 180 degree view! Great location. Extremely comfortable. Unexpectedly spacious (for Paris). Superb bathroom - no plumbing problems at all! (this is France and this has regularly been an issue). There was nothing not to like.

The location is very good, the metro station was just 2 minutes walk across the road, which was the Tuileries station of the 1st line, with which we could move around easily. Also there were near a lot of restaurants and souvenirs shops, an ATM was 5 minutes walk and a supermarket 10 minutes walk. The staff at the reception was helpful. Although we had a small adventure, the room was clean, tidy and spacious. Also, the environment is very quiet and calm, which is perfect after a long day. Initially, we were given a room which was small comparing to the other rooms, and also was located in other part of the hotel and not in the main corridors, which was very strange. The bathroom had two spaces; one the toilet and one with the bathtub. The toilet had a fair light and did not have aeration (aerification, or simply the thing that circulates the air so bad smells could leave the room..) In the morning of the 2nd day, we woke up and the toilet room was flooded. We have requested to change room and they have given us another room at that moment. The other room was much more spacious than the other and more comfort. Also, the water from the tank is not drinkable and had to drink water from the mini bar, which was 4 euros!

The location is superb. We had the top floor and watching Paris by night is mind bogging! On checking out, we was charged Euro 325 per night when I booked thru' Booking .com at Euro 250. I corrected the receptionist and this was changed to Euro 250. We had only one breakfast but was charged twice!!

The location of this hotel is simply fabulous! Overlooking the Jardin Des Tuileries and to be able to see the Eiffel Tower and all the way to the Louvre was just amazing, by day or night we couldn't get enough of the view. The room was very spacious and luxurious and I would have to recommend it to anyone staying in Paris as being in the perfect location.

The location suited our needs for our short stay in Paris. Our room was spacious, the bed very comfortable and the bathroom very good although the water pressure in the shower was poor. The breakfast was very good and met with our needs and the breakfast room staff were excellent in keeping the food well stocked. We will definitely stay at the Brighton when next we are in Paris. Thank you all staff for a very pleasant stay.

The staff in the dining room in the morning for breakfast and a young lady on the admit desk in the early evening were great. When we arrived, we had 2 rooms. One was fine although the view was horrible. The other had dirty towels, glasses and urine in the toilet. They agreed to change rooms and the next one was the same minus the urine. Finally they found us another room that was clean. No apology given. The day clerk, red haired and the evening gentleman were not friendly at all and verged on rude. I would not stay here again nor would I recommend it.

It was about 30 minutes walk from all the popular tourist sites. It was close to shopping. The price was resonable. The Internet was free to look- up things to do. There was a small continental breakfest, French style. No American English breakfest or restaurant in the hotel.

The hotel was totally satisfactory. The location was superb, and the hotel is quite attractive. The staff was friendly and helpful. While not cheap, the hotel is excellent value. I hope to stay again. I wish breakfast had been included but assume that is an issue of price.

Very good location. Friendly staff. Smart and in our case spacious bedroom. Very good buffet breakfast. Ideal location if you are staying in that area of Paris and do not want a restaurant in your hotel. Small lift.

The view from our room on the fifth floor was outstanding - the Louvre, Tuilleries, Place de la Concorde and the Eiffel Tower. Breakfast in our room Friendly, helpful staff The gentleman on reception had not been to "charm school" which was a disappointment as usually, we have stayed at the Brighton several times, the staff are very helpful.

Location is awesome if you are there to do tourist stuff. It borders the Tuileries Garden nearer to the Concorde side. A very short walk to the nearest metro entrance. Parallel to Rue St Honore. The Eiffel tower and The Arc de Triomphe can be seen in the distance along with the canal. Heated towel racks are a nice touch. Front desk was helpful. Staff was friendly. What's up with no shower curtains guys??? A minute annoyance rather than a dislike. One of the tiniest elevators i have ever seen. Good for one large euro male. There are two lifts and one is normal sized thankfully.. Not a dislike but an oddity...

Fortunately this hotel had messed up my booking and so I was here only for one night, The room was large, however, two old single beds pushed together and made up as a double. Two old head boards well past their sell by date! Just me in the bed and the beds sloped so much that I ended up in the middle of the two beds, most uncomfortable. The furniture was old and worn and not at all charming. The shower was old school, weak and not a power shower. The room was at the front of the hotel, so yes nice view onto the tuileries but far too noisy because of the constant traffic and also noise from the lift.

The view from our room was fantastic. It blew us away. To see the Eiffel Tower from top to bottom was unbelievable and then to look in the other direction and see the fountain in front of the Louvre. Yeah!!! The staff was great in helping us get reservations for dinner and getting us taxis when we needed then in the evening. We could have ussed another mirror in the bedroom itself as we were two women traveling together.

“First, I LOVED the location which was very convenient to a Rossybus stop just behind Opera), a metro station, restaurants (just loved le Petit Vendome right across the street), high end shops, the lovely Tuilleries Garden and Seine River, and three magnificent museums: Louvre, Orangerie, and D'Orsay. Secondly, I liked the price which is very reasonable considering the neighboring hotel rates of the Ritz and Park Hyatt. I stayed in a very quiet, inner, newly refurbished and air conditioned room that was perfect for my needs. To sum it up, I look forward to my next stay at the Hotel Mansart!” Julia, Radnor |
