The staff was very helpfull, spoke English and gave good direction/insight into the offerings of Caen. Parking is a little difficult here, although they found free space behind the hotel for us in their shared lot. |

Very friendly staff who were always helpful & very knowledgable about the local tourist attractions. We would have liked coffee making facilities in our room & it would have been useful to have a small bar fridge |

Staff were friendly and very helpful in both French and English language I would have preferred fresh coffee at breakfast instead of the stewed variety. |

I arrived early and was tired after a long trip from Scotland and then a Ferry trip and was given a warm greeting and coffee and pastries. And the young woman organised that the room I was having be cleaned and I was in my room by around 9.30 -10.00 All the staff were helpful and friendly and my room was cleaned well and was always fresh when I arrived back. |

Friendly. Great breakfast. Clean sheets. Clean bathroom and towels. Noisy street below. Small shower. Musty smell in the room. No air conditioner, and hard to leave window open because of the noise. Not enough parking. |

The bed was comfortable. There was an awful dull, stale smell in the room. Breakfast was expensive. Noise from outside at night and the continuous sound of an air conditioning unit. |

Small cozy hotel. Elevator to take bags up to room. Location was noisy. There was a bar across the street and was loud late at night. No air conditioning, had to leave the window open which made it more noisy. |

Great location on a quiet street, but also close enough to the railway station. Very tasty breakfast. Staff is friendly. Will recommend, thank you! Thin walls between rooms. |

The hotel was well situated close to the town centre. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. The room was quite small, but was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The choice at breakfast was wide and the quality very good. |

Staff members were helpful about directions, etc. However, some did not speak English. Also, the hotel was within walking distance of the train station. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The room was very shabby, dark and small. Although it was basically clean, I think, it had a very rundown appearance, as well as a peculiar, nearly transparent frosted glass bathroom door. Not very private! The shower was very tiny. Also, on the first night we stayed, there was a lot of street noise until about 2am, coming from a billiards place across the street. |

Newish bathroom was pleasant surprise. Horrible horrible location. Do not stay here!! Very noisy bar across the street. Lighted sign outside hotel in front meant all rooms on that side had to have windows shut during hot nights or bugs would come into rooms. Walls are paper thin with televisions mounted on adjoining sides. Apparently used as a flop house for local sex encounters. Impossible to sleep with all activity in neighboring rooms. Rude desk staff at night act like recommendations for finding local restaurants an absurd request. Overpriced breakfast. Highly recommend guests look elsewhere in Caen!! |

The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the free wifi was useful. The breakfast was also good. The breakfast - although nice - was perhaps a little overpriced. |
