The staff were wecoming and helpful offering a very personal service. The hotel was clean and well-furnished and the decor was fine. Car parking facilities were a bonus. Breakfast was excellent with a good variety of choice for a continental breakfast. The min-bar was useful though there was a bar where a full range of drinks were available on request.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. In my experience most french hotels do not have tea/coffee/hot water facilities in the bedrooms. Occasionally some hotels have facilities in reception.

Easy free parking and WiFi. Town of Perigoux was not our first choice to stay, but it was the only place we could find a hotel during our time. It turned out t be a reasonable base to expolore Dordogne and Bordeux area. The bed was not very comfortable. Also while the rooms are very cleanand over al comfi, the bed spread was fairly old which made the room look old.

The room was spacious and comfortable. There wasn't a kettle and coffee/tea facility in the room, which was sadly missed on a late arrival...However this might not be the usual thing to have in hotel rooms in France?...

The staff were very helpful and the breakfast availabilty and quality excellent. Its proximity to the centre of the city was useful and parking was easy. The shower fittings had been removed to avoid dropping the shower head into the bath. We would have preferred to have the shower fixed to avoid this problem.

Extremely charming staff composed by a family and some aggregates. They will provide you with a map Very well located, at 5minutes turtle walk pace to the historical medieval center, where most restaurants and pubs are. Renovated bathroom is top notch. They have renovated half of the total amount of rooms and continue with this job. They have a computer for the guests in the reception. The use is free and very useful to perform tasks that you couldn’t do with your pda using the also free Wi- Fi. For example I moved pictures from two cameras to have redundancy in case of a loss of one of them. The bed is extremely comfortable. Room was enough spacious. Air conditioning worked flawlessly. While the staying was fantastic, there is always room to improve: Parking available for only 11 cars, however since the hotel is located in the city, there are plenty of streets with parking available. It’s easy to find parking because this part of the city is not densely populated at all. The 2 halogen lights placed over each side of the bed were too bright and hot, they may want to consider replacing them to newer gu10 led lamps. The mini-bar fridge leaked some water on the basis of the bottle drinks, so they were a bit wet.

Wonderful staff, great breakfast, perfect location, nice room and amenities. Périgueux, Périgord and the Dordogne region should be on the must-see list for visits to France and the Bristol hotel is a nice place to use as a base. Carpet could have been a bit cleaner, but we have a different perspective on this as we are travelling with an 11-month old baby.

Pleasant hotel, bit noisy at night as it is in city centre and French drunks are the same as ours! Good breakfast facility. I suspect that parking is a problem as there are only a dozen or so places and no other local options apart from on street. The beds were very low and hard and the pillow too small

Reception staff very helpful & friendly. Room clean and comfortable. Surprised to see that a guest had took a dog into the restaurant, but perhaps this is allowed in France.

Dining out is very important for us and as Perigueux is not dependant on tourists, it has a variety of excellent restaurants to suit one's budget. The owner, Slyvie Salvador talked us through the restaurant guide and as a result we ate and drank extremely well for far less than having the same in England. Mercy Madame. The room has a modern bathroom, a confortable bed with very clean bedding, and a 26 inch television. This television was very important on Sunday night when most restaurants and bars are closed. The hotel is within a level walking distance of the historic centre (and the restaurants). The parking is free, and the Wifi works well in your room. It has a great location, modern room, big tv, free Wifi and free parking, and is near the restaurants. Plus the owners are very nice.

“Hotel Altica opens its doors from 17.00 hours. It is a new hotel with nice fresh & southern colours. Excellent bed, nice bathroom and pleasantly decorated room. Breakfast is basically French (Jam, jam & jam) + corn flakes, but ok for the price. The Hotel's location is very good for visiting nearby Perígueux. Parking free in protected area. ” C.f., Den Hoorn (texel) |
