Friendly and ready to help . Good breakfast. Location. The room I moved to at the first floor was large and comfortable. The room I got on arrival on the 5th floor(club room) was small and uncomfortable (Small dark bathroom) The double bed filled the whole space and should be maneuvered around to get from one side of the room to another.

Great location off a small plaza just inside the city walls. Very friendly and helpful staff. We had a family suite which has 2 separate rooms connected by small corridor, which was exactly what I was looking for. The kids had separate beds with ensuite bath. Our room had a tiny shower room, and there is a separate toilet off the corridor. The decor was very cute with sailing theme. Overall good value for money. The continental breakfast buffet was fine. Room lighting was quite dim. We didn't have separate reading lights on both sides of the bed.

The location. Booked a club room, thinking this would be a little more luxurious than a standard double. This is not the case a club room is actually a room with a toilet! The toilet was so small that you could not close the door. The room smelt of damp and is not worth the money at all, I have stayed in numerous hotels within St Malo and have to say this is the worst one I have stayed in and definetely not worth the amount you pay per night.

The proprietors were extremely helpful and friendly. They delayed going out for the evening in order to wait for our arrival. Excellent location within the old town walls, ideal for getting to the local amenities, bars and restaurants, and close to the car park. Adequate room facilities. We would go there again. We have no complaints. We did experience some disturbance from drunken youths, but not for too long. This is to be expected in a town centre location.

The owners are friendly and helpful. They also have a staf who speaks English well which is a great relief for tourists like us. Beds were not done properly on our 2nd & 3rd night! It looks okay from the outside but the inner sheets were not tucked in properly which is quite annoying whn you're sleping. Also, the shower head keeps falling.

Great location Two things: the walls were quite thin so I could hear other guests, who luckily were considerate. Also, the toilet is so small that the door won't shut while you're sitting on the loo. That's a bit uncomfortable. However, I would certainly stay in this hotel again.

The hotel was very convenient. Rooms were compact but did the trick. We would stay again. I would prefer that we converse in French but that came eventually, as I insisted in (trying to) reply in French!!! The staff were very helpful - sometimes too helpful!

A dog behind reception when returning after 2200 hrs.I would rate the continental breakfast as a 2 from 1 to 10. The Toilet was so small as was the shower! Sorry we will not even consider staying there again so we will not be able to recommend. Hotel Bristol Union.

A good loction The smell of drains/ sewer emanating fromthe bathroom, which had been built into a corner of the room about he size of a cupboard. The cramped space, lack of lighting dark drab decor. The total absecnce of ventilation with windows closed (they had to be closed to get any sleep)

I liked the location (from a shopper's point of view) of the Bristol Union and the staff were friendly and helpful. While the location is very good for shopping, the proximity of the main square means that the hotel is very noisy in the evening.

The location is in the middle of city center, easy to access to attractions in walking distance. The rate is among of the cheapest in the city center. The staffs are very friendly and able to communicate in English (although one of them couldn't) which is good for us not from the Europe. We spent only for 1 night in a Superior room, it has no carpet on the floor with separated toilet and shower room but everything is clean and tidy. For overall the room is in pretty good condition and comfortable. Thank you. We couldn't connect to the free wifi internet service even after entering the given password. I think may be the wifi signal was not strong enough to reach our room in the first floor. Another thing, it would be nice if carpet is installed on the room floor.

We stayed for one night on our way back from Mont Saint Michel, so we didn't really have time to enjoy the city. But the hotel was amazing, the room very nice and the staff very friendly. Also, very nice breakfast!

“Just an overnight stop - we were heading further south. Good location, decent food. They have their own parking but you need to arrange this directly with the hotel; otherwise you will have to find one of the very rare spaces in the local public car parks.” Duncan, Taunton |
