Brit Hotel Soretel  

The quality of the food provided in the restaurant for our evening meal was very poor. I ordered the steak medium but it was so thin it would of been impossible to cook it as such. It had also bled into the watery potato mash giving a very unattractive appearance .The desert was a chocolate cake which very dry and hard and both my wife and I returned it. The waitress did offer us an alternative on the plus side, however the apple tart I had was not much better. The breakfast was satisfactory.

We just needed a 'reasonable' over night at the airport. You provided that.

I liked the swimming pool. It would be nice if a bath robe would be available for that purpose. While we appreciated getting 2 salads there, that food was terrible.

The choice of words in the list above misses out the main reason we chose the Brit Hotel Soretel at Merginanc airport: convenience

No tea making facilities in the room staff downstairs are doing too many jobs at the same time. One person to do check in and the staff the bar and take charge of any incidents around the hotel.

Minutes from the airport, so it was good for access for returning our rental car and catching an early flight. Room was very small but functional.

We ate in the restaurant downstairs, again for the sake of its convenience.The quality of the food was fair at best. I would think the chef could cut down on the choices, which were quite extensive for such a small resto, and focus on better quality for a few selections.

Hotel was clean, staff were friendly & helpful most of the time despite the occasional language barrier! It suited our needs being close to the airport but also on a main bus route directly into Bordeaux city centre.

Only one complaint. Bordeaux has an excellent transport system which, on our first day we found amazing - good bus service right outside the door of the hotel & an excellent tram which operated within the city limits. However, on the Saturday morning we discovered eventually that the city bus service was on 'Strike'. The staff at the hotel knew this but did not bother to inform their guests which we found very odd. We wasted at least and hour getting to the bottom of the problem - which could easily have been resolvede if the hotel staff had put up a notice advising guests of this fact.

It was close to the airport and it has a restaurant with some outside sitting.

Very barebones, not much ambiance.

Perfect place to stay for an early start to the airport.

it was a very clean and quiet room. Room service was excellent.

The restaurant was not open. It is only open on monday's through thursdays.

Excellent rapport qualité prix.nous avons pris la formule chambre+petit dejeuner :imbattable!!!! Chambre confortable, bonne literie, belle sdb en marbre, excellent et tres complet buffet de petit dejeuner ; l environnement est certes moyen (zone hotelière) mais l acces a bordeaux est très facile par tram, bus ou voiture et l hotel est très calme.

Il est évident que cet hotel est bien placé pour un bref séjour dans l'attente de prendre son avion, a condition toutefois qu'il ne s'agisse pas d'un week end
