Best Western Grand Hotel Francais  

Excellent location in a quiet street close to the city centre and the pedestrian areas and many restaurants.

Did not have much interaction with staff but what occurred was helpful. Hotel in great location for seeing Bordeaux. Although in an older building when you stepped inside it was light and very modern. Located close to a light rail system that could easily get you to other parts of the city as well as the train station.

Lovely, clean, spacious room and very helpful staff. Fantastic organic breakfast and relaxed atmosphere. Perfect location for tourist. Comfortable base from which to see Bordeaux. We loved it!

The hotel has a welcoming atmosphere with very friendly and helpful staff .The hotel was very clean and the room was a good size with very attractive decor.The breakfasts were very good in a lovely intimate breakfast room.We loved the small details such as the espresso coffee machine , the gift beside the bed and the discounted car parking.The location was perfect for a city tour .We loved everything about this hotel.

Our room was very small (room 407). It was clean and ok, but for this price I expected a little bigger room.

Very good location. Quiet street in the pedestrian area, but close to the tram stops and taxi. Free internet access throughout the hotel are well-functioning. Good breakfast. Helpful staff.

Poor lighting in the room, it's hard to work in the evening

Considering its central location, the hotel was extremely calm and quiet. The staff were particularly helpful and courteous. Breakfast was excellent, and how nice to have freshly squeezed orange juice! Also appreciated the hotel's emphasis on bio products - even the jams available for breakfast.

The room was rather hot in the night, and it wasn't possible to regular the radiator.

In the heart of the city, just in the middle of shopping street, the best location of old city.

Parking and driving to the hotel, due to the boulvard closed to traffic.

Great position in the centre of Bordeaux. Breakfast was included and was very good. Staff excellent and gave a good recommendation for a fish restraunt.

Hard to find even with satnav as in a narrow street in the centre of a pedestrian zone. However, car parks close by and cost €19 for 24hrs.

Cramped rooms, fine for business users but not a place we would go again on a family trip. On the other hand, Bordeaux has a limited selection of hotels.

It was well situated, close to shops, restaurants, bars and the Grand Theatre. It was a lovely old building that has been carefully modernised. It exuded an air of unpretentious luxury. Very comfortable. There was a good choice on offer for the buffet breakfast.

We had booked one of the larger rooms, and it was spacious, however, the toilet was small and the door just a few feet from the bad.

The front desk staff, she was very friendly and very helpful to us, (we didn't speak French and was our first time in Bordeaux.)

Location superb. Building elegant. Comfortable beds clean rooms and newly refurbished bathroom. Very friendly staff. Breakfast outstanding - all organic and an amazing choice including fresh squeezed orange juice. No restaurant, but the nearby family restaurant Le Scopitone is lovely too. Shops nearby are expensive but in the sales the bargains were very good.

Wifi not free. Azerty keyboard on the free computer in reception is tricky for qwerty users!

The location was great, in the centre of the city! The room was modern but little bit small (nothing to worry about though!). The breakfast was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend it to anyone to stay there.

This was a really cute, in- town hotel. Great location. Clean and friendly with a wonderful breakfast included in the room charge! The rooms are small but well done and felt very cozy. Bathrooms very modern and functional! Parking is a bit of a problem but after a trip throughout France this is really very typical. The rue in front of the hotel was under construction during our stay and so access by car was even more limited but there was a side street easy to pull over on and unload. The construction crew did not start work extremely early so you could sleep in a bit - however if you were a late riser you may have been awoken by the sound of jackhammers! I thought the place had great ambiance and was surprised how very upscale it was for a Best Western. I would recommend this hotel.
