A small, well maintained and comfortable hotel in a good location for shops, bars, restaurants and the Metro. It is situated in a quiet street off a busy boulevard, formerly an artists centre. A small lounge and bar on the ground floor are perfectly adequate. The hotel has free WiFi, flat screen tv and modern fittings. Breakfast is quite expensive and I recommend the petit-déjeuner options at one of the local bar/restaurants - lots of choice.

Clean room, clean bathroom, friendly and helpful staff, good location. We didn't have breakfast, lunch or dinner at the hotel so I can't describe the quality of the restaurant.

The location is quite good. A small and calm street but close to 100s of restaurants, cinemas and stores of Montparnasse Blvd and proximity. That makes life easy when it comes to eat and shop, even late at night when Paris shuts down. Needless to comment about the excellent subway facilities of Paris, so that´s not really a plus or exclusive to this hotel, but it´s handy as well: 2 minutes and you´re in a sub station. The staff is indeed friendly, I speak french but they are also able to communicate in english if needed. The room is clean, the bed is comfortable and even though the bathroom is small, it´s clear and nice to use. We wanted to stay longer and had no problems extending our staying - they even made a better price for the 3 extra days! (I thought Booking.com had the better deals but go figure...). The room is clean and well decorated, but smaller than some other similar- priced hotels in the region and other good areas of Paris. Everything is a bit on the cramped side here, even more so if you´re traveling as a couple and with some big luggage as we did.The air conditioning of the room wouldn´t work during our entire stay, even though I complained every single day at the front desk. We extended our staying and by the 5th day I gave up complaining... One night I had to sleep w/ windowns open and since it was the 1st floor, we would hear people talking and smoking at the entrance of the building. That sucked. We didn´t try the breakfast, opting instead for the many good options nearby.

The location was perfect -- Quiet historic side street. Right next to a key Metro stop and blocks away from alternates. Walking distance to many, if not all major sights. Easy to get to by subway/train from the airport. I would stay here again for pleasure or for business. We had a wonderful time.

Th hotel is small and cozy and reasonably well situated in the 6th arrondissement. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a big bed and a smaller one. The bathroom was well equipped. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was a nice touch even although we usually went out. The hotel advertised free wifi connection. The service worked sporadically. When connected, connection lasted from 2 to 60 minutes and the user got kicked off. Guests were regularly asking about it and the router had to be rebooted. Every time I tried to connect I had to re-enter a secret password given to me by the staff. These passwords seem to last anything from 30 minutes up and I ended up with 6 separate passwords in an attempt to get me connected. On top of that passwords are good for only one device. We had bought an ipad for the trip and also had a laptop with us so using both of them was challenging! I strongly recommend the hotel fix this problem. We really relied on the internet for tourist info and with such sporadic service we were pretty frustrated at times. However it did not spoil our trip to beautiful Paris.

I received a very warm welcome, and the hotel staff remained helpful, courteous, charming throughout. It is close to Vavin metro, and also within easy walking distance of Notre Dame des Champs metro. There are many good restaurants nearby, and it is within easy walking distance of the beautiful Jardin du Luxembourg. I thought there might be a "rubber stamp" approach because of the Best Western affiliation, but found it was afterall a charming Parisian boutique hotel. My room was impeccably comfortable (I'd guess there had been a recent refurbishment), and spacious by any standard. I was glad for really good hi speed wi fi access. My room on the fourth floor faced the street, and there was some overnight street noise, though not enough for me to request a room change. Like just about every hotel at which I've ever stayed, in room could've been better.

Very good location. 3 minutes walk from the Vavin Metro Station. Close to lots of nice restaurants. Rooms are Spacious and Bathroom and shower are good compared to other hotels in Paris. Hi Speed WIFI is available for free in all parts of the hotel. Staff Are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is Good but not very rich. Check-in and Check-out process was fast enough. There was no special facilities and accessories in the room such as slippers, robe, complimentary water, coffee and tea pot etc.... The safe box didn't have keys and i didn't know how to use it. TV channels where limited and poor signal quality.

Me and my boyfriend stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. The room was really small and design was horrible! Staff wasn't really helpful, they didn't know anything we had asked for. I wouldn't stay in this hotel again, as you can find better hotel for the same price. (We paid almost £200 per night).

Excellent location - one block from Metro and two blocks from RER train that took us directly to the airport and North Station for EuroStar. The staff was very friendly and helpful and there were may cafes and shops within walking distance. A great spot for first time visitors. Excellent location to visit all parts of Paris on the Metrol

Civility of the staff. We didn't like the loud drip into the gutter outside our window when it rained.

We like that the hotel is centrally located and that the metro was closeby. The hotel is also located on a quiet and small street. We were given a room that is facing the courtside. That is pleasant since I requested for a quiet space prior to our stay. I have been prewarned that the rooms in Paris are relatively small. Hence I was not so shocked about the room size.

Great staff, so helpful with suggestions on where to visit, and no hard sell. Rooms were great, large for Paris and nicely decorated. Big bathroom. Great location, many good bistros nearby. No double glazing for windows which is unfortunate as some building work going on across the road but it's not the hotel's fault.

apart from its location and quiet surroundings , its literary connections and background lends to its attractiveness. The main reason I started staying there since about 15 years ago was because Samual Becket stayed there for a period... i look forward to staying there again.

Really nice area. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, they recommended a restaurant, booked the table and gave us directions to get there. Close to metro station so getting around Paris was easy. Room was large and very comfortable. Arty Room was very small and dark. The air conditioning was not working so we were moved into a Club room which was much nicer.

Well-updated furnishings. The wifi connectionwas our attraction to Best Western over Hilton but it was always faulty. The bathroom was not always properly cleaned-- it looks like it was cleaned in a hurry. The bath amenities were not always replenished on time, I had to ask the Front desk.
