Hôtel California Champs Elysées  

The location was good, and the staff were mainly friendly.

We did not like the rooms, as they were very tired looking and were in much need of an update.

the bathroom was large, well lit, and had all the amenities desired including a scale and magnifying mirror. The room had comfortable beds and the furnishings were well appointed and clean. The location was excellent if you want to be near the Champs Elysees.

Because there are several bars in the area, we were awaken several times in the morning, (3 am, 4 am, 5 am) by noise from people partying. the sounds of horns beeping and people arguing at 5:30 am occurred each morning. The hotel staff were not knowledgeable about suggesting restaurants,offering guidance about tours, the Paris Museum card, directions to get places, etc. You need a conceirge at the hotel.

This is a very professionally operated city hotel. The room was as described, clean and roomy, with all amenities. The staff is multi- lingual, competent, courteous, and extremely helpful. The location a short walk from the Champs Elysees is convenient to transport and puts a wide range of dining options at a convenient distance. The clientele is international and upscale. We stayed a week and were happier with hotel when we left than when we arrived, which is rare. Visually, it is a very attractive facility and even though they were remodeling the bar area, the temporary bar they set up in the lounge was elegant and functioning.

Stay here for a week and you get an earworm - the Eagle's "Hotel California" keeps running through your brain.

The hotel staff were very helpful and pleasant all the time. They spoke different languages. They offer to serve even without me asking for help. The room was very clean and well prepared. The location just five minute-walk to the middle of the Champs Elysees.

The mini bar items were overpriced. (6 Euros for a small bottle of water)

Excellant staff and service

I would have expected an extensive French style a la carte menu for dinner, may have not been the case because of refurbishment works in the main restaurant.

Breakfast lacked variety. Hardly anything to eat with room service also. mini bar was expensive. rooms did not consist of water boilers for simple coffee or tea making, nor any iron boards.

The stuff at the reception I think the person was called Erwin he was super friendly ans helpful!

1) The wifi in the room didnt work even with a router/modem provided at the reception. Once called asking for help the receptionist promised to send somebody to fix the problem however nobody ever came to fix it. Two days stayed without internet. 2) The is a referbishment going on in the 2d floor and it was possible to hear the drill which was quiet ennoying and uncomfortable. 3) In the room 405 which is non-smoking room always smelled cigarets
