Location was perfect Petit Dejourner very good! Excellent value for the price
So central for everything easy to get about very friendly staff will be back next year will recommend it to anyone loved the hotel and Paris
What was there not to like that's all I can say
Fairly good location to get around Paris but then Paris is easy to get around in anyway. Still, it's hard to argue against the merits of being on the doorstep of strolling down Boulevard Saint Germain.
Cramped room, noise from other guests in several other rooms audible from our own during the night. Noise of shoes on the wooden floors in the room above audible whenever anyone moved. Considering we only really used the hotel as a base to sleep & spent most of our time out & about it was a real let down that our brief time inside our room wasn't a little more pleasant
Wifi room ,
perfect location, nice staff
rooms are very small, very old, pictures which i saw didnt show reality.
location is perfect regarding with price....
facility should be improved....
Location was great.
Rooms a bit too cosy and bathroom could do with a renovation!
Excellent location. Close to tourist attractions and great night life. Stayed on 5th floor at the rear of the hotel and found the rooms to be quiet with the new installed sound proofing on walls.Staff were very helpful and friendly.. Rooms cleaned and serviced each day. Free wifi was reliable. I would glady stay there again and recommend it to my friends.
Lift was small although to be expected in these type of buildings. There's nothing really to fault for the price and the location.
The staff was very helpful.
It is not at all what the pictures show and the room and bathroom are very small. The building was very run down and you can hear right through the walls.
The staff was superb. They were helpful and friendly. The location was great. Close to the Notre Dame Cathedral and subway entrances. The room was quiet even with a street view. Nice lobby area.
Mold in the shower and in a few corners of the room. Shower difficult to move around in. The bathroom in general was not user friendly.
It was in a quiet and safe location. Metro close by, so you could access all if Paris.
Wifi was not good at all. For teenagers especially it was an issue
Air conditioning, friendly staff, baggage room
Bed was comfortable and staff were great.
Very small room. No mini fridge. Tiny shower and was covered in mould. Breakfast was average and wifi didnt work
location, helpful staff, working a/c
hard beds, miniscule shower and no shower curtain for friends w/ tub, no working outlets in friends' room
Location was outstanding!!
Rooms were very small
This is a cupboard at a outrageous price
Very comfortable bed Great location
Tiny lift (elevator)
The room was extremely small, the bathroom even smaler. The wifi connection was very bad, practically no internet access at all. The price was too high for what this hotel has to offer, not value-for-money at all.
Most of the hotel staff was very informative and took the time to guide us to destinations each day.
Where should I begin? This hotel was a MAJOR disappointment. No need to travel across the Seine to the Louvre to see ancient artifacts in Paris. A stained, discolored, worn carpet is available for visitors free of charge in the modest hotel lobby of the California Saint Germain. And let's not forget to mention the trip in the elevator to the hotel room. Warning: Do not expect to indulge in too many French pastries if you expect to fit into the elevator during your stay. You and certainly your luggage will not make it in one piece. As for the room, bring your own flashlight. To say that the rooms are dimly lit is an understatement. The only room that was well lit was the bathroom for which we were extremely grateful because one cannot make it into the bathtub without taking a giant step up, after which your safety might be compromised. This hotel does not advertise a pool, but don't let that dissuade you -- you can have your very own private pool/hottub in your own bathtub! The water takes approximately 15 minutes to go down the drain, which means extra time wasted in an unattractive, dimly lit room if more than one family member needs to use the shower. And let us conclude this review with the most disappointing factor of all: the OUTRAGEOUS price. This hotel is exorbitantly overpriced for the accommodations provided. The staff was quite pleasant and deserves to work in finer surroundings. It is clear that the money earned from tourists is in no way used to improve the hotel itself or better the experience of its customers. Au revoir and we won't be back!
Front staff was very helpful. Breakfast was good. George was particularly helpful. Location was great.
Room needed stronger overhead lighting. Shower door didn't close completely.
The location was PERECT - a stroll away from the river and it's evening revels, from Notre Dame, Shakespeare & Co., the Pantheon and Hemingway's haunts. Great Metro connections and local cafés etc.. The room had all essentials, was decorated very tastefully and there was a good atmosphere throughout. The staff were all amenable and the communal areas very inviting.
WiFi non existent. Only in foyer and as slow as dial up was. If 3 or more use it - non existent. No fridge no bar no coffee facility in tiny room. Pay a little more and stay somewhere else.
Clean, walkable to many sites and the Metro
The room was so small there wasn't a place to put my suitcase
Rooms were incredibly small. Pictures on hotel on web site are only for the most expensive rooms.
Very good bed
Looks more like a two star hotel. Only one English tv-channel
