This hotel made a convenient stopover on the way south being close to the autoroute. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was more than adequate.

Budget hotel nicely situated for breaking a long journey to (or from) the ferry ports. Basic, but clean, rooms. Free on site parking - you can normally park right outside your own room - nice restaurant and the (buffet) breakfast is good value. Easy to find (on the same estate as all the car dealers) but a little way out of the town centre. The pizza restaurant opposite burned down so if you don't fancy the hotel restaurant it's a bit of a walk..

The hotel was easy to find from the motorway, the restaurant was excellent with a good selection of food and drinks. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was small but adequate and we had lots of hot water, to relax in the bath after a long drive.

room and beds excellent.Staff very helpful. Didn't like the new decor in the restaurant or the menu.Old style with the open fire and round tables had much better ambiance,and the buffet and menus were better then. also thought the breakfast had been downgraded.only small croisant and not an egg in sight. In the past I have called in off the road just for breakfast,not any more

We used the Campanile Alencon for a convenient overnight stop on a journey between La Rochelle and Calais. It suited this purpose well being just off the mororway but very quiet. Although the restaurant could nor accomodate us, it being New Years Eve and we had nor booked ahead, the staff arranged a meal for us and brought it to our room. Breakfast was excellent in the newly refurbished dining room. The shower worked well and the beds were very comfortable. The only criticism we have is that the bathroom did not smell good having a 'drainy' smell.

The staff were very friendly and efficient. Parking outside the chalet is very convenient. Good location halfway between UK and our home in France. This is the second time we have stayed here and we would do again. Signposting to the hotel could be improved. The restaurant has been given a facelift but has lost some of its character. The food is still quite good but the (continental only)breakfast is not good value for money. The chalets are looking tired and need to be redecorated.

We found this a good stop off hotel on our way north from Spain. Adequate room, clean and comfortable and the tea and coffee facilitates were very welcome! We had a try nice dinner in the restaurant, albeit somewhat pricey and unless you want to jump in the car, you have no alternative eating options. Despite this would use again.
