as Americans we were treated with good respect. Had troublwe at the restaurant, because they did not bring the entrees out right away. The hambger goulash was horrible and the rumpsteak like a hockeypuck. I complained so loud I embarrassed myself!!! I will stay at the hotel anytime, but never eat at the restaurant again.

This hotel was perfect for me. It was within walking distance of the city center, was quiet and had free parking. The room was very clean & comfortable with a nice bathroom. The staff was very helpful, especially the young man at the desk who pleasantly answered all of my questions. The best value is the extensive breakfast buffet. After eating here, you can spend most of the day without hunger pangs. Great selection of food! I would return here again and recommend it to anyone who weants value for their money.

Everything ran smoothly and had a 'good feeling'. Having Wi-fi is really good. Finding a restaurant attached was a very pleasant surprise. Room exceptionally clean - well done! Parking right outside room was really good - I was concerned before about the car theft. Aircon was a bonus (but didn't work properly). Aircon would only work as a heater - it didn't seem to cool the room so in summer this would be a problem. I couldn't get a signal on my mobile. I'm with Vodafone.

Campanile Bayeux is a great choice for those wishing to visit the wwii beach sites. It's easy to find, very clean, has a good restaurant for breakfast (continental of course) and dinner. You can easily walk into Bayeux from the hotel and it is well positioned to get to other locations. The rooms are clean if a little on the small side but the bathroom and the shower has excellent pressure.

Excellent location, close to centre -this chain of hotels tend to be on outskirts. A little bit dated, needs freshening up but OK. Not such good value for money as used to be.

Probably my fault for choosing this hotel, but I did not realise at the time of booking that this was a "Travel Lodge" type place. Food was French "Fast Food" and breakfast was very expensive and not very good. Acomadation was very expensive for what it was. Could hear chairs moving and footsteps from the room above. Very disapointed, would never go to one of these again.

The Campanile Bayeux "ticked all the boxes" for us - well cared for, lovely garden, secure parking, clean, wi-fi, tea/coffee making facilities, and good choice of food for breakfast. Young man at reception was very friendly and helpful. It's also in an excellent location for access to the town and very quiet at night.

The quality of food was poor but was expensive. I would no longer class this hotel as a cheap 'stop over. I think we would look for an alternative in future'

The room was very clean and was adjacent to a field of Charolais cows which made it seem very rural and peaceful. However, we were only a few minutes walk from Bayeux town centre which made it very convenient to leave the car at the hotel and to walk everywhere. Perfect location! Nothing!

The position suited our requirements well. The free parking was a bous and important to our choice of stay. The site was attractive and well kept. For `no frills` the accommodation was good. The tea/coffee facilities. In UK these are automatically expected. The accommodation was a little dated. No where comfortable to sit except own room which was quite small. The breakfast was disappointing. We took it first morning but chose not to again.

Efficient service, comfortable rooms and close to the Bayeux attractions and city. For once in a hotel in France, the room had tea/coffee making facilities - a necessity whilst travelling.

This is a good budget hotel close to the city center. Small rooms but they are clean and the comfort is ok. Together with a excellent breakfast and free parking would I say that this hotel is a bargain!

The lay out of the complex was good, rooms clean, tea and coffee in room and a nice quite location The only thing I can say is that the resturant food was expensive, food was good but a little over prised.

Good sized room & bathroom, & being able to make a hot drink were good features. Quiet area within short walking distance of town centre. We were charged a higher room rate than our booking price but a senior staff person intervened and contacted booking.com and honoured our original offer. We couldn't get the air conditioning to work.

The Buffet breakfast was very good and sustained us well during the day. Good position for exploring the area and for walking in to Bayeux itself. The bedrooms and bathrooms are a bit tired. It would be nice if the grounds had some benches or chairs to sit on. There was also a large rock at the entrance /exit to the site which I could not see on exiting and it caused damage to the car. It should be moved out of the way.Otherwise - god value.
