The staff was excellent and the hotel was new and well kept. Also, the location was great just 5 minutes by tram from the historic center.
The area could be a bit dangerous at night
small beds not a well-lit road - the road looked a bit scary
Location near station - the downside being not a particularly good area. Modern and clean. Within walking distance of the sights of Bordeaux, also, excellent public transport nearby.
Breakfast. Adequate at best - attempt at an English breakfast very poor. Staff not particularly attentive in the breakfast room.
great location for city transport
convenience to the station
Great value. Clean, comfortable new rooms. Good showers. Freindly and helpful staff.
Easy to find. Own parking. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was immaculate and very large with a walk in shower and air con. Breakfast was a buffet with a large choice and a good price
Staff were very nice, location was a short walk to the train station, the beds were ultra comfortable and rooms were always kept very tidy.
It was a twenty minute walk into town but the city has an excellent tram system. Wifi was erratic and the area was a little seedy.
Some rooms in the hotel (one of them the one I stayed in: Room 301) are very noisy during the weekend as there is a club next door and you can hear the music all night. We could not sleep until 6am. Apparently the hotel is in a court case with the club but they keep selling the noisy rooms to customers....
Good overnight stay. Walking distance to city centre. Comfortable, clean, pleasant staff.
Snacks at bar Room till noon Staff
Shower was great Spacious rooms that clean and tidy Good secure parking (at a cost)
paper cups in room rather than proper ones for tea/coffee Long walk into main restaurant area of town, in between hotel and that area is a little run down and my wife didn't feel comfortable walking through that area. Definitely take the tram!
Very close to Gare St Jean train station. Very clean. Simple furnishings but sufficient for needs. Excellent value for money.
The hotel was comfortable and quiet. The staff were efficient and friendly. The location is good, very near to the main train station and tram stop. All in all a good hotel
Easy to find, very near railway station and airport coach drop off point. About 15 minute walk to the centre - though there is a tram stop near by (1.50 euros). Clean and functional though a little spartan.
Breakfast expensive for what it is.
It doesn't make you feel welcome. Although the staff was very friendly there are notes in the room saying "if you take this cup it will be charged" and "use the bins in the hallway to separate garbage" We stayed at the Pullman just outside the city for less money and there we had luxurious rooms, a far better breakfast and a very nice swimming pool at our disposal. Campanile may be officially in the city center, but it's a rather long walk to the real city center through not the best neighborhood.
Location - 20mins walk or 5mins on tram to historic centre. Car parking - in secure car park for ten euro a day. Very easy. Just good value hotel really.
Wifi was ok but logs you out every time your phone sleeps or you stop using wifi on laptop. Annoying to half to type in name and email every 5mins to log back in.
It's right by hare st jean so although not in the city center it's really easy to get to on the cheap and v clean new tram system. Nice clean hotel and very modern. It was really cheap compared to other hotels in the city that were quite run down in comparison. There is a supermarket on the block behind that was great for snaks and wine.
The room was quite small and a nod style of green and strange wall space. Not much storage. Wifi was free but loges you out after a few minuets of not using it a minor thing but your phone won't be logged on the whole time. The area is easy to commute from but there were quite a few tramps and dodgy looking people hanging around the back from time to time. The bar and breakfast room are poor and cramped with no real atmosphere. Breakfast is expensive but the French don't really do breakfast so finding an alternative in the city would be tricky. The food is quite tasty but the layout makes getting the food tricky when it's busy as it's a cramped space.
3 blocks from train station, 2 blocks from tram station Good breakfast
Good location and travel connections
Very sterile bland hotel.
Was a good value for what we got. Room was very clean and comfortable. Close to train station.
Neighborhood not the greatest. But east to get anywhere from the hotel.
Central location easy access to infrastructure clean and friendly
Area around hotel is grotty and a bit seedy
Really happy with my stay, staff was very helpful, breakfast had a large selection to choose from, room clean and quiet.
Hotel is located very close to the train station. Staff were courteous and helpful. Breakfast (by continental standards) was excellent. Excellent value for money.
