Situated just 165 ft from the historic town of Carcassone in the Aude region, Aragon is a charming hotel. It is the ideal place for exploring the Cathar Country.
Score from 780 reviews Very good
The Ibis budget Carcassonne La Cité is a centrally-located hotel in Carcassone, a 10-minute walk from the fortress. It features modern, functional decor and free Wi-Fi.
Score from 1057 reviews Good
Located just over a quarter mile from the medieval citadel of Carcassonne, the Cerise Carcassonne features an indoor swimming pool, hammam (public bath), fitness room, and free Wi-Fi.
Score from 2185 reviews Very good
The Hotel Montmorency is located at the foot of Carcassonne’s walls and across from the entrance to the medieval city. It includes Wi-Fi access, a pool and a hot tub.
Score from 511 reviews Very good
surprisingly quick access to the walled medieval cite on foot. really pleasant and helpful staff on the desk. comfortable clean rooms, and a great shower.
I liked the restaurant, the buffet was pretty good for the price.
I didn't like the TV didn't have the option to switch the programmers in English into the Original version ..in this case english. Also the femme de ménage enter the room while still being there they should be more careful...
We are a mature couple who stayed at this hotel for 2 nights to use as a base for sightseeing in Carcassonne. Although a little way away from the town centre and the medieval city it was easy to get where we wanted to go. We had a good sized room that was very clean and bright and we found the staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. We would most definitely recommend it
Staff able to speak English as we didnt speak much French. Friendly staff both in the reception and in the Restaurant. Very clean everywhere.
Very clean and quiet room.
Staff were excellent. Extremely professional. Standard of rooms outstanding, and design With internal access. Location within walking distance to La Citie.
Wifi was patchy at times.
excellent stay for historic town.
no complaints at all
excellent room for money value. staff not only friendly they spoke three languages ! incredible.
breakfast was too expensive in relation with room cost ( it cost almost 30% of the total bill ) 9.90 euros per person and quality is just fair.
This was a one night stay on a week long driving trip. We like hotels on the edge of town with good parking and easy access to sites. We didn't realize until we left that the 2nd floor offers a fantastic view of La Cite!
Awesome restaurant, especially for those tourists, who was caught in this common "nothing works on sunday" trap. Very clean and comfortable.
WiFi was killingly slow. Despite of good signal strength, surfing Google-maps was a pain!
A popular spot due to proximity of A61 and La Cite. This is a pure business or traveller hotel and caters for the traveller better than an Ibis. Restaurant is good and breakfast well worth €9.90 as there is plenty of quality foods.
Room could do with a lick of paint.
Location excellent. If your able to walk a brisk pace you will find yourself at the castle Room decor was modern. Meticulously clean Easy to find
Wifi a bit weak. Could have been my room location perhaps.
BEDBUGS! Multiple bites with visible bedbug seen in morning on sheets. Mentioned to reception on checkout with only a weak apology and nothing else. Also far from town.
Everything was fine thank you. Staff were also excellent.
Everywhere, the rooms and the public areas were exceptionally clean and the view of the cite in the evening light from our window was breathtaking .
Prices of food and breakfast expensive compared with food in a lovely setting in the cite.
Great value for money with friendly staff. Room was comfortable but functional.
Too far from rail station and hard to get a taxi
A good all round hotel that offers a good experience. The staff are very helpful, friendly and do all they can. The restaurant offers good food at a fair price. For the money we paid for our stay you can do a lot worse.
A lack of signs assisting you to find the hotel.
Pleasant and helpful staff - very clean and good value for money. Better than a Premier Inn or Travelodge
A bit noisy based on location and internal walls thin but overall OK
Very clean with excellent staff. Ate in the restaurant. Food was very good. Ideal for a stop-over for going on somewhere else. Is located on a commercial centre but advantages were that you had a Geant Casino Supermarket within a 100 metres with cheap fuel.
Only if you wanted to see the Cité then there was a good 25 minute walk to get there. We had been to Carcassonne before so it wasn't an issue for us. Better as a stop-over hotel or for a base for traveling around rather than as a base for staying in Carcassonne.
restaurant cleanliness decor
on an industrial estate really need a car to use this hotel
The staff were exerlent and the food was great.I stayed for nine nights and couldn't find fault...
There was no snacks like a vending machine
Everything would definitely stay there again
The over night stop was very pleasant and situated near to Carcassonne.
All was very good and we were very pleased.
last minute booking a day or 2 earlier..all fine . Found it easily
Clean and modern, price.
Location write up regarding ease of walk to the old city. Driving up is easy with the parking at the castle. Beds were hard.
