Campanile Honfleur  

They could have at least one english language TV-channel available for non-french speaking customers.

We enjoyed thecomfort and peace. It was lovely to come back each evening after a good day out in spite of the very cold weather in Northern France. We will go again.

The hotel was eco friendly, centrally based, an evening meal was available

We were intending to stay 2 nights but only stayed for the 1 night due to the heating in the room which was supposed to be a non smokers room however, at night we found it extremely hard to sleep due to the very strong smell of nicotine coming from the heat pump that was pumping warm air into the room. I didn't mention this when checking out as the attendant wasn't to helpful in the English department. He seemed more interested in the young lady that was rebooking. I will not be returning to this hotel.

Location is superb, lovely woodland and easy walk into town for most people (20 mins). Was running late but staff kindly arranged my key out of hours. Plenty on site safe parking.

Bed fairly hard but more than clean. Imagine rooms can get very warm in summer.

Breakfast a touch expensive for what you get and the hotel was located quite away from the town center/restaurants. Car or taxi required which was a touch disappointing. No bar :(

Decor a little tired particularly in Bathroom. Not always enough bread choices available at breakfast particularly if you arrived after 8.30am

Not very well signposted. would have liked a sheet rather than a Duvet as it was too hot.

Friendly staff and a good simple restaurant. Good parking off the road. Surprisingly this is not mentioned.

Quite hard to find and on outskirts of Honfleur. Signage could be much better.

Have used when going to france as offers good value for money. Easy to find. Friendly and helpful with only some french. Dish of day excellent value. Can easily walk into Honfleur from hotel. Free parking also good. Aircon needed july aug so that is good as some do not.

If non smoker try to avoid rooms at end of blocks as cigarette bins are just outside the window so people smoke there. Smoke comes in room.

Rather disappointing relative to the price. Room very basic lacking regular comfort expected from a 3 star hotel. Will not use chain in the future

The night cost us 150 Euros This included a room for the night, 2 breakfast which you can get at other hotels for half the price. The evening meal was very poor with limited choice costing in excess of 50 Euros in the room there was just one ordinary tea bag and the milk was sour.

A little bit dated but had everything that you need for an overnight stay.

I liked the new colour scheme in 'le' restaurant.

I didn't like the location. Even the sat-nav found it difficult to find. The access stairs were less than comfortable and it wasn't easy to get into the main part of town on foot.

Being out of town, it was peaceful at night and the beds were very comfortable, which ensured a good night's rest. Breakfast buffet selection was good.

The downside of the location was that it was quite a walk into Honfleur especially as the weather was very hot during our stay. The fact that the rooms are in separate buildings from the reception/restaurant could have been a drawback in wet weather.

When we arrived the bed linen and towels had not been changed but fortunately we were given another room and everything was ok after that. I must add that we have stayed in many Campanile Hotels over the years and this was the first time we had to take another room.We had a meal in the restaurant which was excellent and as in all Campanile Hotels, good value for money. Overall we will continue to use the Campanile for our overnight stays in France.

As mentioned above, the room was not ready. If there had not been another room available then there would have been a problem. We were prepared to wait for the booked room to be made ready but because of lack of staff this could not be done!

Friendly atmosphere and not in the centre of town which we preferred.
