Campanile Nantes Centre - Saint Jacques    

Beds and bathroom perfect.

I did not like to pay with my credit card before my sejour in the hotel . I will prefer to pay the day I leave.

Breakfast was very good, good private parking place in garage. Free WIFI

Bathroom was too small for all the stuff that two people have with.

Everything is what 's expecting

The hotel was very easy to find thanks to the information supplied by it and as entered into a gps. There is ample parking and the receptionist spoke a sufficient level of English. We had booked in advance and our details were on screen. The room was modern and very comfortable. We did not avail of breakfast so I can't comment on that.

Nothing! The bus-lane on the road outside can take a bit of working-out but that's not the fault of Campanile!

Like previous guests we were very impressed with the young front of house staff. We loved the immaculate bedroom and shower-room - beautifully appointed and well-maintained. We also liked the ability to park a car there for the whole weekend and use Nantes' superb public transport system. Despite the pre-glasnost East European exterior the interior is a haven of peace and comfort.

Minor niggles.Why do so few hotel (and private house) bathrooms lack a hand-grip in the shower - which must be one of the most dangerous everday places to stand on one leg! The breakfast is the usual bog- standard French hotel fare (is 9.50 tacitly agreed by all of them?) Over- refrigerated fruit salad - the only thing fresh was the apple; cold croissants, cold crèpes, Harry's bread, unimpressive ham and cheese. Best to have a coffee and croissant in town later.

We only stayed 1 night,but the hotel is very comfortable. The room was well appointed. The staff were very good. We had dinner and breakfast At the hotel and both were very good value and also good meals. Staff very atentative at both meals. I would recommend to other travellers. Thank you

New hotel fitted out to a very good standard. Good facilities including private parking and a very well presented room. Budget price, really good value.

Modern hotel with free underground parking. Good for a city stay or for passing on the way down to the south of France. Food at the hotel was reasonably priced with good choice.

Very handy for us with the Hospital being just arround the corner,which we could visit every day.

No grab handles in the shower for older people No shelf in the shower to put soaps,shampoo etc.

transport link to city was super, room fresh and clean, staff helpful and pleasant, hard to find any faults with the 3 day stay. Nantes is a fantastic place, we would be happy to use campanille hotels again.

Clean, modern, comfortable hotel. Free parking, great location if driving. Short bus ride to old town. Almost next door to a giant supermarket (Super u). They also sell diesel at really low prices.

Breakfast buffet ends early at 9am. Got there too late but it seems to offer good food. Would eat there instead of buying groceries from Super u which is mass produced food just like in North America.

Problem finding hotel without sat nav.

Excellent value hotel for the price paid. Arrived early around 2pm and was promptly checked in and given room key by the friendly reception staff ( struggled with my french ) Room was immaculate, spotlessly clean and replenished daily. The bathroom was equipped with a fantastic dual shower. The hotel is almost brand new and the rooms are modern, well designed and very green - with the added bonus of tea and coffee making facilites for us brits.Bed was very comfortable and the fixtures and fittings were of a good quality, everything was in working order and the air cinditioning was wonderful on a hot summer night. Hotel not in the city centre but situated just south of the Ile de Nantes on a main road in a pleasant residential area. Bus stops outside hotel (number 4), is frequent, good value (4.40 euros/24 hours) and only six stops into centre of Nantes at the chateau. Never had breakfast in the hotel at 9.50 euros pp expensive so cannot comment. Did not have a meal either, but restaurant looked busy when passing so it can't be bad.

There was nothing for me to dislike about this hotel. It provided superb accomodation at a competitive price. It was situated not far from the city centre with good public transport into the city centre which is exactly what I was looking for. A few observations which will may echo the feedback left by other guests which I read before booking this hotel. During my stay I found the staff helpful, courteous and friendly. My dealings with them were almost entirely in French or franglais which I found very difficult at times but not impossible and certainly not a reason to avoid this hotel. The French are proud of their language, show them a little respect and use it even if its only bonjour/ au revoir. The environs around the hotel might not be to everyone's liking. The front of the hotel is on a busy main road which I imagine could be quite noisy during peak times. The rear of the hotel backs onto a graveyard which some may find creepy but I can recommend for a quiet nights sleep. My other half didn't notice through the trees until I told her, imagine will be more obvious come autumn. Free parking at the hotel is very limited, 10 spaces behind the hotel but secure parking is available underground for a reasonable 6 euros/night. For the price paid cannot fault this hotel - highly recommended.

modern food

The hotel is far enough outside the centre of Nantes to have good parking, but close enough for speedy access to Nantes centre by tram. There is a stop right outside the hotel and the Nantes tram system is excellent. The hotel is quite new. My room was so clean it looked as if it had never been used before. It was absolutely spotless! (Maybe I was the first user?) The rooms were well appointed. Better than the usual French chain hotel.

While the rooms are well appointed and clean, and the staff polite and efficient, the hotel is quite soulless. It is a typical business hotel. Good for somewhere to sleep and that is all. Having a kettle in the room pleased this Brit. But only providing one teabag was a disappointment :-(

Great location, close to bus links to City Centre, with excellent parking facilities. Hotel has excellent rooms with good food choice and a relaxing atmosphere. Staff are very helpful and totally professional in all departments.

Lovely hotel, great facilities and staff. Stayed here twice as a stop through on travels to and from Spain. Definitely stay there again. Bed was so comfy, could have stayed further nights!

Nice hotel for a reasonable price. Rooms are small but clean. Very close to a busstation (within 5 minutes in the city centre by bus).

What a wonderful surprise. The room was big, it was very clean and new, the tv was big, the bathroom was huge, internet was perfectly running, and there was also a couple of free parking on the backyard. Kettle.

The area around is not so nice. We found no free parking of the hotel, and we didn't trust in leaving the car in the big free parking on the other side of the road, also because there were some broken glasses on the ground. So we asked for the paying garage of the hotel. Another small problem was the room for the disable persons had no curtain in the shower and all the bathroom was getting all wet on the floor.

Friendly welcoming staff coped well with our limited French!
